  1. Don't know if these have been on already Hull City is the only team name in the English football league that you can't fill in any letters in with a pen A can of diet coke sinks but a can of full fat coke will float If you wrap a piece of string around your head three times the length of string equals your height
  2. Ah, this lovely little thread. A topic that just won't go away. My DT views are spread over various topics so i ain't gonna repeat myself ad nausem. Suffice to say I love Rush with a passion but i found that DT fill a gap between Rush and Metallica (when they were good) and at the moment i find DT music to be progressing just as Rush progressed around 2112 thru to Pictures. Extremely exciting times in the DT world! You don't like DT? Thats cool thats what music and tastes are all about! My little girl - Lily aged 8 says that both Rush and Dt rock she's here at the moment with me, now you can't argue with an eight year old girl can you?
  3. Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak Not the worst lyrics in the world but.... "Tonight there's gonna be a jailbreak Somewhere in this town" That'll be the jail then...won't it?
  4. Boy Bands, Pop/American Idol stuff, boy bands, boy bands, boy bands, BOY BANDS!!!
  5. The Oakey Cokey...what if that REALLY is what it's all about?
  6. QUOTE (Mustard Death @ Jun 22 2005, 03:27 PM) In Dream Theater's "Octavarium" (a 24 minute long masterpiece), around the 13 minute mark of the song (during the keys solo), the guitar and bass play a small riff that sounds exactly like the chorus riff from "Beneath, Between and Behind". This has to be the most up to date one! I haven't even got it yet - should have been a fathers day gift - got a t-shirt instead (!) 'course Dreamtheater have always had a soft spot for Rush - i'm sure they'll say its a tribute! Got another one myself The Farm "all together now" intro is an exact lift from The Mission. P.S. Going to a DT gig at Hammersmith? 2nd night for us - fingers crossed they cover 2112!
  7. Batman and Robin are out on an all day drinking session when between pubs they bump in to Superman. "Hi Superman," says Batman "Fancy joining us on a serious piss-up?" "No can do, just got to fly off and save the world." says Superman "But i'll be done in about half an hour - get me a pint in and i'll catch you up." With a single bound Superman flies off leaving the dynamic duo to go and get the beers in. A half hour soon passes with out a sign of the man of steel. Robin drinks his pint. After an hour Superman enters the pub looking somewhat upset. Batman is not pleased and demands to know what the delay is. Superman says "Well i'd just sorted Lex Luther out again and i was flying here at the speed of sound, when looking down at the Grand Canyon with my telescopic vision i see Wonderwoman lying on the ground completely naked with her legs up in the air!" "Holy Beaver!" exclaims the boy wonder "What did you do then?" "Well you know that i've always had the hots for her so i flew upto 20,000 feet got the old pork sword out and hitting about 500 miles per hour went right in there!" Batman is amazed "I bet that shocked her?" "Yeah but not as much as the Invisible Man!"
  8. QUOTE (Trance @ Jun 21 2005, 07:05 PM) Lame. Well then funny boy make me laugh!
  9. How do you stop a woman giving you a blow-job? Marry her.
  10. One that may seem a bit obscure to a few of you as i don't know how popular Ritchie Blackmores band after he left Deep Purple, Rainbow are over the water. But on their live albu, "On Stage" the opening number Kill the King has the same intro as Bastille Day.
  11. I'm gonna cheat and say two - The Necromancer especially for the second appearance of our old friend By-tor (same name different character) and Bastille Day as i was in the back row of Mancheter Apollo on the 1st night of the kings tour having a nice sexual experience with a very nice young lady when they started the gig! Happy Days!!
  12. Sorry, me again Rushgoober asks whats wrong with Signals. Shouldn't be to hard to grasp this, theres hardly any GUITAR on it thats what!
  13. Best track? Well it has to be 2112 itself doesn't it. But lets be honest it's completely mental from start to finish, but completely awesome at the same time. An acoustic guitar found behind a waterfall, let there who knows when, not rusty, still in tune and our hero learns to play it in approx 3 minutes. Then knowledge of said guitar topples a government...wish i could find one like that here in Blighty!
