You know how these threads work, let’s not waste too much time debating the meaning of pop. Thriller is, Reign In Blood isn’t. Simple spectrum. Let’s go!

Every cut is vivacious and expertly performed, and most are really cleverly written as well. Pop at its ecstatic, slightly quirky best!

11) Rolling Stones - Some Girls

 

While it's a very popular album I wouldn't classify this album as pop. It's straight up Stones rock and roll.

I know, There are quite a few albums on here that make me think the thread is using “pop” literally.

While it's a very popular album I wouldn't classify this album as pop. It's straight up Stones rock and roll.

 

You could make a case for Miss You, Beast Of Burden, and even Shattered being pop. The rest is pretty much rock, blues, and country though.
