Ancient Ways Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 I remember this like yesterday. I remember being blown away at how they changed their sound. Faster and heavier than their previous work for the most part. At the time this was probably the ultimate metal album and sound for me. 5
Fridge Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Brilliant album, remember being blown away by how heavy it sounded when it came out... 6
J2112YYZ Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 35 years ago today, I was a month away from turning four years old ha! Great album. Much better than their failed pop metal attempt on the previous effort. They got it right top to bottom on Screaming. An all time classic in a discography already filled with a number of them at that point. 2
Mystic Slipperman Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 I remember hearing "Another Thing Comin'" on KLOS and going, DAMN I gotta hear more of this. Bought the album and was blown away. I was a youngin. 11 years old. 2
The Cat 3 Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Time flies when you are rocking out...35 years? Seems like yesterday. Great album! 2

Entre_Perpetuo Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 My first Judas Priest album, and probably my first metal album. A true classic. Horns up! 3
Entre_Perpetuo Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Electric Eye is one of those most perfect metal songs. Devil's Child is sooooo awesome as a closer! Is it underrated or am I just not in the know? It seems underrated to me. Fever and Pain And Pleasure are burning thrillers. (Take These) Chains is a perfect gem. Blooooo-ooooodstoo-oone! Riding On The Wind is a true hot-blooded driving song Screaming For Vengeance is a masterclass. and what more's to be said about You Got Another Thing Coming? 3

Thanks for the appetizer. 1
Xanadoood Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 It's a solid album. But it doesn't come close to their 70s output. I think it's their last great album.

I actually really enjoy Point of Entry. And Defenders is only a small step down from SFV. I like 70s Priest a lot. But I love this album. 1

The guitars and vocals maybe, but I could never stomach the drumming of Dave Holland.

It's a shame he turned out to be a pedophile :| 2

It's so perfect everyone bought it.
custom55 Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I was never a JP fan but I did buy this album. Thumbs UP 1
The K Man Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Love this record. I am not wild about the title track (their speed metal stuff was more miss than hit for me), but the rest of it just slays. Bloodstone is my favorite from it. 1
