Stormtron
My favorite album from 1995... Also my favorite hip hop album of all time. WU-TANG! :madra: I voted for the Pumpkins here. Favorite of the 90s overall is Built to Spill's Perfect from Now On.
JohnnyBlaze
Just remembered, this is my favorite from '95 (Alice in Chains' 3rd studio album): http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/24/Alice_in_Chains_%28album%29.jpg I'd still rank Facelift and Dirt higher BUT this is a very good album and my winner for releases that year.
JohnnyBlaze
Of the three, I picked Mellon Collie, but none hold a candle to Pulp's Different Class ( best album of the 90s ) Here's my best album of the 90s: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/e5/Screaming_Trees-Dust_%28album_cover%29.jpg We need a 90s face off threadYou can do it. I have the "luck" of someone posting "You forgot (X)" even when I include the maximum 40 choices with 1 "other" option. Yeah, Screaming Trees' Dust would be my #1. Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream, Jane's Addiction's Ritual de lo habitual, Beck's Odelay, Alice in Chains' Dirt, Tool's Aenima, and Rusted Root's When I Woke would all be way up on the list. And all of them I'd rank higher than any 90s Rush album if I think about it.Can't believe I forgot this one from '92: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/05/BlindMelonBlindMelon.jpg On some days it's my favorite from the 90s. It's at least in my top 3 from that decade. It's also one of my favorite debut albums of all time.
Super25Smasher
Mellon Collie but i like all 3.
Mithrandir
Oasis for me by a whole lot. Radiohead is vastly over rated. Smashing Pumpkins are solid, but the Oasis album is fantastic from beginning to end. One of my favorites from the entire decade of the 90's. PolarizeMe
If I had to choose, Mellon Collie. I've heard the Oasis album also. But honestly, my favorite album of '95 was this (and I don't even like the band that much either): http://www.metal-archives.com/images/5/3/53.jpg?1422

invisible airwave
Mellon Collie Billy may still be the Kanye of alt rock with his arrogance but this album is awesome. Mystic Slipperman
Of these in this poll, The Bends. My favorite record of 1995 is probably between: Del Amitri - TwistedJonatha Brooke & The Story - PlumbOctober Project - Falling Farther InMarillion - Afraid of SunlightPaul Weller - Stanley Road
ReRushed
I picked The Bends, but I must say, over the years, Mellon Collie has grown on me, from full grown hate to humbled admiration. The problem is I think it's way overblown. Edit it down and it's a no-brainer. I think "1979" is light years better than any song on The Bends and Morning Glory. Oh yeah, Oasis can be so damn boring. Citizen of the World
Obviously compilation albums don't count otherwise everyone would have picked Michael Bolton's Greatest Hits
