As far as my favorite, it's Permanent Waves.

2112 is iconic, as are Moving Pictures and the first album.

As much as I love the Snakes and Clockwork covers, there is just too much going on. Too busy.

Hold Your Fire, Counterparts, Hemispheres, and Signals are all simply a little too bland for my liking. They are all neat, and HYF and Counterparts can be admired for their simplicity.

Fly By Night, Caress, and AFTK all have a strange, almost Zeppelin style cover. AFTK reminds me a lot of Sticks/Zeppelin IV, while Caress and Fly By Night remind me of the first three covers a little.

Power Windows, while having good artwork is just too dated. i think it's cool, but it's very 80s.

Grace Under Pressure, and Vapor Trails are just rather abstract. Incidentally, just like my feelings about the albums, the original Vapor Trails cover is far better than the remix cover. Also, the "original" Grace cover (with the darker, accented colors, as seen in reissues) is better as well.I place these two right behind Permanent Waves on my ranking

there are the ones that directly relate to a certain song- Test For Echo is really cool artwork, and I'd probably place it forth. Roll the Bones is very cool too. as is presto.

I must say though- Hugh Some is a creative genius. His work adds so much character to the band.

My final ranking-

1. Permanent Waves

2. Vapor Trails

3. Grace Under Pressure

4. Test For Echo

5. Presto

6. Clockwork Angels

7. A Farewell to Kings

8. Snakes and Arrows

9. Roll The Bones

10. Moving Pictures

11. 2112

12. Counterparts

13. Hold Your Fire

14. Power Windows

15. Fly By Night

16. Rush

17. Signals

18. Caress of Steel

19. Hemispheres

As far as live albums go... not much to rank, but if it's a photo I'll still put it in.

1. Exit...Stage Left

2. Snakes and Arrows Live

3. Clockwork Angels Live

4. Rush in Rio

5. A Show of Hands

6. Different Stages

7. R40 Live

8. Time Machine Tour

9. R30

10. All The World's A Stage

ESL is actually really awesome, especially with the epic music inside. But for the purposes of this vote...it's somewhere between AFTK and Hems, so since I'm the AFTK ambassador I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Might also be their strangest covert art, I'm also a big fan of Power Windows for some reason (it was my first Rush on vinyl perhaps), and you just can't argue with PeW, MP, 2112, Signals, or GuP
