  1. Yeah, it was pretty good to hear it read by Neil. I thought it gave it a more personal feel. I plan on giving it another listen soon.

  7. I'm looking forward to them being inducted... ...they belong there. I can't wait until it is official! Cheers for Rush!
  8. I completely understand ALifeson85's point. This will the 35th year I've been seeing this band live and I'm at that point where I really don't care what they play. Of course, I have my "dream set list", but I'm always just happy to be seeing them play live again and that transcends my song wish list. I know and appreciate all phases of their recording career and will sing along to whatever they choose to play. That being said, and back to the ALifeson85's point, I completely understand the idea of the "casual Rush fan" and them (understandably) wanting this (or any "classic rock") band sticking to the familiar.
  9. QUOTE (Hatchetaxe&saw @ Oct 4 2012, 11:23 AM) For a second there I was genuinely excited. Then I opened the thread. Same here... ...I'd love a new Genesis album someday.

  11. QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Oct 2 2012, 08:07 AM) QUOTE (ReGorLaTroy @ Sep 30 2012, 06:54 AM) QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Sep 29 2012, 05:45 AM) I used to work in a rather large mental health facility where all the residents/clients had been previously homeless. I'm 100% sure that NONE of them wanted to be homeless. How do I know? Well, because all of them stayed at the facility for as long as they possibly could [there were some politics behind how long they could stay]. Anyway, since the facility didn't have any lockdown rules (for longer-term residents anyway) they could've walked out and been homeless again if they wanted...but they NEVER did. And I'll never believe that most of those that are homeless want to be. Sure, there must be some that actually want to be homeless but that percentage must be rather low. I don't know...people will f**k you over in any walk of life. But that shouldn't stop you from trying to do some good. And I think the op did some good (even if he thinks he could've done more). I've been there... ...as the cool fall days come along each year and the nights start getting colder I am reminded just how fortunate and blessed I am. A pastor let me sleep in the last pew of the church at night as long as I was out by morning before anyone got there in the morning. I guess that is why this thread hit home. I'm glad someone out there helped you out. And yeah, this thread is a sensitive topic for me too. Homelessness will probably NEVER be solved completely but ignoring or shutting out the world can't be the right thing to do. Thanks Johnny... ...I am blessed wa-a-a-a-ay beyond what I deserve, that much is certain.

  14. No problems at all here. I placed an order for the new tourbook and two shirts and they arrived rather quickly. They were actually shipped from Showtech, Buffalo, New Yor, USA.

  16. QUOTE (bluefox4000 @ Oct 2 2012, 08:58 PM) I don't put anybody on a pedestal. I really don't get flustered meeting anybody who's in the spotlight. There just 3 guys who make music I happen to like...no more, no less. Mick Wow, what a great way of putting it...great perspective.
  17. Watching Monday Night Football and Dallas back up quarterback, Orton's stats when he was with Chicago was 21-12 win/loss ratio.
  18. QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Oct 1 2012, 08:10 PM) Album leak shortly. Probably by tomorrow, for those interested. Yes, very much so...keep me posted brother!
  19. QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Sep 28 2012, 09:10 AM) It's also about setting up Kiss after they're gone, as misguided as I believe that plan to be. Yeah, from the interviews you read or hear with Paul, you get the feeling that the end is near for this line-up. I think "Monster" will be the last studio album we get. I'm believing the rumours of the "Monster" 2013 US Tour and I really think Paul will bow out and focus on his paintinga nd write his autobiography. They were simply amazing last week in NJ. I had row D seats...and it turned out that there was no row, A, B or C....making my seats at PNC, that's right baby, front row! It was amazing and I can't wait for the new record and to ehar some of the new songs played live. -------------------------------------------- In other, sadder, KISS news, Paul's Mom, Eva passed away last week at the age of 88...RIP Eva, my thoughts are with Paul with his loss.
