  1. I was looking to buy a copy of the book and was suprized to find it on iTunes as Clockwork Angels audiobook Narrated by Neil Peart himself (all 9 hours of it.) It was 12 bucks thats only about 4 bucks more then the paper back. Good so far. And a lot of previous Rush reforences too. Neil is a bit monotone as a Narrater, but that is too be expected. And better to hear him read it then someone elce.
  2. I got it on iTunes (audiobook) for $12.00 it's Narrated by Neil Peart himself. I would highly recommend it. Very good so far. A lot of previous Rush referaces worked in too.
  3. QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Sep 26 2012, 06:01 PM) QUOTE (Tombstone Mountain @ Sep 26 2012, 09:57 AM) QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Sep 26 2012, 05:35 AM) QUOTE (Tombstone Mountain @ Sep 25 2012, 10:41 AM) A recent viewing of "the 40-year old virgin" brought out a Rush mention. Steve Carrell is getting his wax job and says "Alex Lifeson" when he's getting his chest hair pulled. This was a cable viewing so it may be different than the DVD... I believe it is Kelly Clarkson he says; not Alex Lifeson Alex Lifeson comes out of his vocal chords Lol. I thought that too. I guess we hear what we want to. My wife says it was Kelly Clarkson.
  4. Just cought the new VW comertial on tv. Their last 3 adds were great. Darthvadderboy during Super Bowl, dog swallows keys and now guy rocking out to rush. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=V57v_UlaZP0...v%3DV57v_UlaZP0
  5. I support fan club presales. Back in the old days I'd have to camp out on the side walk in the streets of Albany to have a shot at a good seats. However, the fan club presale this time does not require a fan club membership of anykind. Just input an email address. I'd bet scalpers are making good use of it.
  6. Anyone elce unhappy with how this tour is being promoted sold? The first notification was on FaceBook and brings you to Bandsintown app wich will search your music library and try to sell you tickets for artists you listen to and others like the ones you listen to. It also posts to Facebook & emails on your behalf. For all intent purposes, malware or at the very least, spam. & The "exclusive fan club presale" in not very exclusive. All that is required is an email address. No registration, not even certain if the email needs to be valid.
  7. Omg. We were at the show at S.P.A.C. We saw the filming and were wondering what it was for. This show we gathered outside the bathroom when you can usually hear Neil warming up from the room above and saw Neil with his back to the window behind a small kit being filmed. Unfortunately he turned around. Saw the crowd gathering and closed the blinds.
  8. I guess the humor is lost on Rush fans. I know he got where is is by hard work and dedication. Don't take everything so serious. He talks about Synesthesia on one of his Drumchannel.com master class videos. And yes there are drummers who are faster, more technically proficient or accurate, but none (in my humble opinion) as accomplished in every aspect (alive)
  9. Anyone elce think Neil may a slight autistic savant? Think about it: socially recluse, reads all the time, has a super human ability and even experiences Synesthesia (sees geometric shapes) while playing. Just a theory. Possibley the "Rain man" of drums.
  10. Just got mine! Had to drive a hour but This is great I thought we had to wait.
