  1. There is supposed to be a Rushcon sponsored party after the RRHOF event; I haven't heard any details but let me know if you would like them, I'll ask someone. And take photos !!! I got a notice about the RushCon event. It included a meet and greet with Alex and “VIP Acess” to the book signing. From what I understand, there were only 30 tickets available for it. I’m sure they sold out in minutes (or minute!)
  2. Tickets are already showing up on eBay.
  3. I have anticipated and throughly enjoyed, every single release since Fly By Night. I can honestly say that I played every release multiple times when they came out. Many times the people around me got tired of hearing it. Clockwork Angels included.
  4. Makes me wish I still lived in Akron! ...on second thought... Bring the tour to north Georgia!
  5. I had a guitar teacher in the early seventies that had one of the Les Paul SGs’.
  6. I have both of the GVF albums and they’re okay. Some good songs, some bad. Listening to the singer for very long is tiring on my hears. And their musicality isn’t good enough to overlook that. Maybe his voice will mellow with age if they last that long. It’s more amazing to me that this thread has gotten to 4 pages.
  7. I listen to the Sector box sets more than any other version. I have a couple MFSL versions than sound a little better.
  8. Yeah, I've found the most comfortable reading position is to actually put it on a coffee table. Agreed. I’m using a large leather ottoman. I kind of wish the book would have included some kind of book cover.
  9. A friend got me a copy at the Bookends book signing. Great book. I will eventually look at every page, then I’ll start reading it. My only issue is the book is so heavy! Because of my MS, I’ve lost the use of my left arm. The book is kind of hard to handle with one hand! I’m sure I’ll make due though.

    R40

I still “tear up” when I watch R40. Fulfilling an almost life long bucket list entry to see Rush in Toronto, seeing them play there on their last show there ever made it even more special. Having the show on video is icing on the cake!
  11. I agree. I’ve always said that any and all Rush is good Rush. I have listened to their music almost daily since 1974. I have never gotten tired of listening to them.
  12. I saw them in Nashville on their last tour. Actually the first concert my daughter Sam took me too! We both thought the show was awesome. I saw them with Freddy 5 times “back in the day” and I enjoyed this show as much as the others. Adam Lambert is a natural front man for them. Definitely going to try and see them next year.
  13. My first show anniversary is coming up this month on December 16th. 44 years ago at the Cleveland Agora. I was 14. It was on a Monday night and I had to beg my mom to let me go. I wasn’t even sure I’d get in because shows at the Agora were usually 18 and over. I was big for my age and so was the guy I was with. He was 17 though. Luckily, they were so busy when we got there that if you had a ticket you went right in. No problems. I remember wondering why the drummer didn’t look anything like the picture on the album.
  14. I never did the whole Black Friday thing in the stores. I do take advantage of the online pricing though. This year I got an Apple HomePod for $100 off.
  15. The picture in the link is the DVD. Not the CD.
  16. Whichever one comes up when I hit “shuffle”. Doesn’t matter to me. They’re all good.
  17. First time I was 24 she was 36. Last time I was 53 she was 65. Worked every time for 30 years! No leopard prints, but she did wear a black polka dot dress that made my mouth water!
  18. First time I was 24 she was 36. Last time I was 53 she was 65. Worked every time for 30 years!
  19. I have a lot of Rush stuff. My friend calls my office my “Rush apartment”. My favorite thing is probably the picture taken of my family and the band. None of them compares to the memories of the 30 shows I attended with my daughter. Those memories are the best thing in my Rush collection.
