  1. Mr. JD

    AFTK 40th Vinyl

    My copy sounds fine
  2. Dark Side is an iconic record. The production was way ahead of its time. I have the MFSL version and it is one of the best sounding CDs’ I own.
  3. Great band. I saw them open for Pat Benetar in Cleveland in the early 80s’. They actually went over very well. The drum solo with the briefcase was exceptional. The song “No Stranger” on Worlds Apart is one of my all time favorite songs. Our band had that song on one of our break tapes and every time it played people would ask who it was.
  4. HBD canadianice! I hope you had a great day!
  5. Yo JD! Very impressed with your knowledge of Todd. Ra is indeed an album released in 1977. I think this Utopia tour is going to focus on 1977 and up. I would prefer the 1974 stuff but hey, I might go! Kansas is the same night here in the Bay Area. Should I see Kansas or Utopia??? Kansas is doing "Leftoverture" all the way through. I am so confused. Todd was very big in the Cleveland area where I grew up. I was listening to him way before his Utopia days like “Something/Anything” and “A Wizard, A True Star”. As far as the concerts go, I love “Leftoverture”. It is on of my all time favorite records. But your chances of being able to see Kansas some other time is probably MUCH better than seeing Utopia again. I’d definitely go see Todd. Besides, Kansas just released the Leftoverture Live album not long ago. Get that to hold you over!
  6. I’d like to see this one! “Ra” has always been one of my favorite albums. “Jealousy” is an awesome song. I recently got a remastered version of “Ra” combined with “Oops, Wrong Planet”. It is a great improvement over the original CD release.
  7. I’d go just because it was Alex. I’d do the same if it was only Geddy. I will say that I think they would be very successful if they toured together with a replacement drummer. Call themselves Rash.
  8. Happy Birthday friend! I hope your day was great!
  9. HBD Zumbi! However, remembering the lesson you once gave me on time zones, I think I am already late! Happy Anniversary too!
  10. I wonder if he is starting to smile like that when he looks at his drum set yet.
  11. Ditto! Only difference is Jamie’s Cryin’ was popular so I bought the album for that song. I was shocked that the entire album was so good!
  12. U2. They do everything they can to stay relevant. Their recent performance on the Grammy’s sucked.
  13. Chime away dude! That was post number 1 from a new TRF member. Welcome to TRF Blacsheep!
  14. I have two MRIs’ today back to back. I’ll be laying in that stupid machine for an hour and a half. Ugh....
  15. Happy 3rd. You’re definitely an asset to the Rush forum community.
  16. Those Rock Candy remasters are good. I have “Life For The Taking” and “Playing For Keeps” and both of them sound excellent. I also have “The Complete Hits And More” that was remastered by Maria Triana at Battery Studios. It sounds excellent too. She also remastered the Artful Dodger catalog with outstanding results.
  17. Thanks y’all! Time goes by way to fast.
  18. What a thrill that must have been!
  19. Sounds like you’re ready for anything if it’s summertime or if you live in a consistently warm climate.
