  4. We must have been at the same show! Cow Palace. My first show. It blew me away! Shit I was 16! You? I saw them in Indy , and it was 2 days before my 21st birthday. :codger:
  5. I wondered why I liked a No Doubt song .
  6. Well they are a far better band now , but hey I just paid $12 for the Kiss Pez set so I'm out.
  7. I like it , would have been nice to have the whole show though. Everything sounds amazing.
  8. The guitar that looks like Rick is called Uncle Dick or something like that . Saw them in '83 as a headliner and then again in '97 opening for Motley Crue.
  9. I'm not a casual Rush fan so bring on all the obscure tunes.
  10. Both bands were great in the 70's. Both bands had about 2 good albums in the 80's. I like every album Kiss has released in the last 20 years and very little Aerosmith has done in that time. Kiss > Aerosmith I saw the Kiss / Aerosmith Tour and the Kiss / Motley Crue Tour and thought Kiss was weaker both times, but I've seen that show soooooo many times live and on videos that it's kinda unfair too them.

  13. Comfortably Numb Brain Damage / Eclipse (because they should stay together) Dogs
  14. I like Sonic Boom far better than Monster...just sayin'.
  15. Of course she's hot ..I mean she is a former Miss Alaska.
  16. Since the season's over, we don't get the postgame shows now on Fox Sports Indiana.
  17. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Oct 7 2012, 02:31 PM) QUOTE (Tony R @ Oct 7 2012, 01:03 PM) QUOTE (Alexmai @ Oct 6 2012, 09:18 PM) Kiss helped Rush in 1974-5 You Rush fans can help Kiss reach their 1st #1... buy their new album Monster next week Kiss fan bought CA months ago Kiss hasn't been candidate to HoF... The only time I'd help Kiss is if they opted for assisted-suicide. The only release of theirs I'd be interested in woud be their last breath... Pathetic hard pop band for people who can't handle real rock music. Said the self proclaimed expert. Any other non-opinions you'd like to share? If not, perhaps some fiber and a lot of water would address your dysfunction.
  18. QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Oct 4 2012, 05:53 PM) Still absorbing it. More dynamic and takes more risks than Sonic Boom. You get the feeling that this lineup is establishing its own identity. Thayer doesn't nick Ace's solos this time, but does his own thing and surprisingly, it doesn't suck. If you've ever listened to Black And Blue, you might know what I'm talking about. Tonally it's great. Gene's bass is in snarl mode. A couple tunes start with a rumbling bass line. One song starts acapella (!), with the guys humorously warming up before delivering some nice harmonies...and then the song launches into the riff. Cool and different for them. They're certainly doing a few more interesting things here. Singer's drumming is in good form. Not back to his cut-loose Revenge/Carnival Of Souls chops, but certainly less "safe" than on the last record. One song, Last Chance, has a good steady power beat to it that drives the song. Songwriting wise Paul's stuff is improved over Sonic Boom, while I think I like Gene's cuts just a smidgen below the last effort...or at least parallel to it. The fact that Paul's an improvement here, though, is the important part. Both Tommy's and Eric's tunes are better than the last album, especially Singer's, which I consider one of the album's highlights and an all around good, fun, rock and roll number. Seems to be a more driving/heavier album. If there's a knock, the lyrics remain pedestrian at times. In some cases (Take Me Down Below) down right embarrassing. However on other songs it's improved. Gene does a good "evil" personna in The Devil Is Me and I like the lyrics there as well. I think it's a grower. I woke up literally humming one of the tunes. I would say a solid B effort after what I thought was going to be a C or C-minus based on the clips. But the songs are better in fuller form and with a few listens. It's pretty cohesive. Listening now.
  19. Saw this on CP , the famous Hitler video about PT. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...d&v=W8giorQahLo
