I'm old enough to remember when it was more likely that the band would have been kaput over the member's substance abuse issues versus them just calling it a day. I would like to mention Steven Tyler does charity work for women who have been victims of abuse, which is really wonderful.

Getting to talk to my dad yesterday still has me laughing today. Since the Pandemic we have collectively been through a rollercoaster of events and hearing him reminded me that winning in this life isn't always defined in a material sense. Sometimes the real reward in life is the experience.

I try to be ladylike in my life....but Got damn I enjoyed his show back in the day. I had a lot of stress in my life when it was a hit so it was a way to blow off steam if I had time to watch TV, like, "Life sucks right now, but HOLY CRAP did that just happen????? LOL"

I don't want to get too specific but I thought of Neil when I experienced a personal victory recently. The Rush community is pretty remarkable.

Normally I try not to overshare on the Internet, but...this guy deserves this accolade..... A friend of mine worked on a tour of his and from what I was told, the guys in the band always knew that their music was not everyone's cup of tea, but they viewed touring as a way to keep people gainfully employed and to bring joy to fans of any stripe, be they fairweather friend-types or longtime lovers of the music.

Honestly the silliness of having to account for paperwork to get anything done in North America. If you ever catch an office worker of any gender glaring at you while he or she eats a sandwich at a cluttered desk, they're just pissed off at all the paperwork, not you.

Random but interesting trivia......a long long time ago stoners used to play both the movie "The Wizard of Oz" and the album "Dark Side Of The Moon" at the same time. The theory was- the movie and album had subliminal messages that complimented eachother. In reality some of the plot points in "The Wizard Of Oz" discussed events that were coming to pass in American culture.

Political argments aside, I am sure the band never dreamed that that album would be so historic.
