  1. Test For Echo is the worst. I don't hate some songs like Carve Away The Stone or Color of Right like others, but I don't love them. Only two songs I love on T4E are the title track and Driven.
  2. Gonna get some serious hate for this ranking, but: Counterparts Snakes and Arrows Hold Your Fire Power Windows 2112 Clockwork Angels Moving Pictures Signals A Farewell to Kings Hemispheres Permanent Waves Grace Under Pressure Vapor Trails Fly By Night Caress of Steel Presto RUSH Test For Echo Roll The Bones
  3. I do think that for the last tour, they should've rotated Between The Wheels with one PoW song and one HYF song and the VT slot going to a T4E song like Driven just to round out the catalog. I know that they played a ton of Power Windows on CA, but it was the last tour, so touching on everything would've been nice. oh well. Still the best show I've ever seen, and a stunning way to end their live career
  4. A different alteration to the near-perfect R40 setlist. 1. The Anarchist (A&C) / Carnies (B) 2. Headlong Flight 3. Far Cry 4. The Main Monkey Business 5. Driven (A) / How It Is (B) / One Little Victory © 6. Animate 7. Bravado (A&C) / Show Don't Tell (B) 8. Mission (A) / Kid Gloves (B) / Marathon © 9. Chemistry 10. Subdivisions SET 2 - 1. Tom Sawyer 2. Red Barchetta (A) / The Camera Eye (B) / YYZ © 3. The Spirit of Radio 4. Natural Science (A&C) 5. Jacob's Ladder 6. The Trees / Broon's Bane (A&C) 7. Hemispheres Prelude 8. Cygnus X-1 / The Story So Far 6b. Closer to the Heart (B) 9. Xanadu 10. 2112 - Overture / Temples / Grand Finale Encore - Lakeside Park Anthem What You're Doing Working Man
  5. Lerxst is the master. Best of each album: RUSH: What You're Doing main riff Fly By Night: Anthem main riff Caress of Steel: Under the Shadow main riff 2112: A Passage to Bangkok AFTK: Cygnus pt 1 main riff Hemispheres: La Villa final riff Permanent Waves: Spirit opening riff Moving Pictures: Limelight main riff Signals: Analog Kid main riff Grace Under Pressure: Kid Gloves main riff Power Windows: Territories main riff Hold Your Fire: Force Ten Presto: Show Don't Tell main riff Roll The Bones: Dreamline main riff Counterparts: Animate verse riff Test For Echo: Virtuality main riff Vapor Trails: How It Is verse riff Snakes and Arrows: Far Cry main riff Clockwork Angels: Carnies main riff
  6. 2112 Anniversary Edition and Feedback on vinyl. Also the updated Martin Popoff book, Traveling Music and some starman gloves
  7. HYF seems really poppy on the surface until you realize that the bass lines are so complicated that Geddy says the reason they didn't play songs like Lock and Key and Turn The Page after the HYF tour is because of over complexity. Presto and Roll The Bones are the poppiest albums. From Presto, Anagram and Superconductor come to mind. From RTB, The Big Wheel and Face Up, YBYL come to mind as well.
  8. Animate is a near-perfect song. In my top 5. The rest are good choices, besides Far Cry and Earthshine. I love Far Cry, but Armor and Sword and Bravest Face are both far better. I know people hate them, but they are some of their greatest work ever. Earthshine is the worst song on Vapor Trails. Freeze, How It Is and OLV are all far better. The Seeker is great. I prefer Shapes of Things from Feedback. I really love Feedback though.
  9. since I'm a rather new fan, 3 times- twice on R40 and once on CA. My dad has seen them seven times since 1984- GUP (x1), PoW (x1), HYF (x1), Vapor Trails (x1) and then the three I listed w/me
  10. I did a side by side with the original album, and the new remaster sounds a lot cleaner and has much more punch. They did a great job.
  11. Meat Bee rant from the LA 2002 bootleg... Rock and Roll HOF speech of course
  12. What You're Doing In The End I Think I'm Going Bald Lessons - how is this one not considered as good as Bangkok or SFN? I prefer it personally to Bangkok Cinderella Man Circumstances Different Strings Witch Hunt - Moving Pictures wouldn't be Moving Pictures without it Countdown Kid Gloves Emotion Detector Open Secrets Hand Over Fist Bravado - gets too much hate. Don't waste your hate on this song. Use it on Neurotica instead The Speed of Love The Color of Right Freeze - not the remix for the life of me Bravest Face Carnies
  13. You might have forgotten Foreigner . . . . And Cheaptrick. nah. Cheap Trick are still playing well and enjoying themselves. They aren't really in it for the money like Styx/Boston/Journey/Kansas/etc. They just end up on those tours. And they still rock live. I guess Journey does too, but they've been playing the same show for 15 years with no change. Cheap Trick switches it up every night.
  14. Manhattan Project We don't have to talk
  15. I'd buy into the Dirxst idea. I wouldn't be surprised if they do something as soon as next year.
