  1. As someone who lives in the same area, I am also bummed. That said, my children (all under 8) want to go see this tour. I am somewhat debating a drive to Indianapolis to catch the show. Despite the rumors, I won't assume they return next year and stop here.
  2. Here's to hoping for something other than St. Louis for the additional bonus material.
  3. Within the last month I heard Where's My Thing on the radio. It was on a modern rock station too. Go figure.
  4. I visited the Surf Ballroom about 11.5 years ago. It wasn't lost on me that it was the last place Buddy Holly did a performance at.

  7. I thought the band said the complete show was found?
  8. I wonder how much they will play from Scenes From A Memory. Too many concerts for me next March. A drive to Dallas may have to happen.
  9. I still think that would be a bummer. I would prefer a full Manchester or Glasgow (especially since a complete recording is not readily available). I wonder if that is where the ESL version of Bangkok comes from.
  10. If there's a "Top 3 Most Available Rush Bootlegs", Pinkpop is surely on that list. One only has to go as far as YouTube for multiple copies of the full SBD recording. But whatever..... I'm betting the "ultra-rare" St. Louis 1980 radio broadcast is what we're getting. But the "lot of projects" makes me feel a bit good. So long as they're Rush projects..... Yep. That is what worries me. I am confident they have other PeW shows other than St. Louis to offer. I would prefer to see a complete one of those. I will believe it when I see it.
  11. Who knows if that demo is still in existence. I will believe it when it is released. Until then, I do not assume it must be out there.
  12. Count me in as someone who is not convinced there HAS to be a version of Sir Gawain running around. That said, I AM curious as to what Geddy said the world can never hear, but I bet I won't find out. Here's to hoping for a full Manchester '80 with Permanent Waves. Worst case scenario is an official release of the St. Louis '80 tapes. Ugh...
  13. Wichita on my birthday? Makes me want to go! Any idea of the setlist?
  14. The band did say many times that the vault has been emptied. Expect the St Louis boot to be disc 2 of the Permanent Waves 40th anniversary... I suspect a full Manchester 1980 release in that case. We will see.
  15. Time to decide if I spend $20 on the 2CD version. Bummer that this does not have a complete show. Edit: This appears to just be a rerelease of material that was available. Unless I get the LP as a Christmas gift...
  16. Dance On a Volcano and Squonk should get some mention with this. Maybe The Knife and The Return of the Giant Hogweed? Also, Get 'Em Out By Friday and Watcher of the Skies. Down and Out. Ballad of Big. Eleventh Earl of Mar. Duke's Travels. Probably nothing after 1980 even qualifies.
  17. ^^^^ great choices also I also forgot about Obscured By Clouds. Probably top 3 for me by Floyd. I did try Panorama, and want to like it but it never seems to hit me. Maybe I need to listen to it again/some more?
  18. If I could like your post many times, I would. This is another unpopular record by a great band that I think is superb. Does The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking count per the thread topic?
