3 extra songs, 20 min more. Won't happen. I really dig that setlist though. Maybe we get some bigger chances in the 2nd leg of the tour? I'd really like to see Limelight and Xanadu be played.

The reggae intro doesn't annoy me but I still rather here something fresher than Working Man like 1001 time in last 10 years.

Few reasons why the setlist is probably what it is. #1 - The biggest reason is that Geddy's is a grumpy old man... eh an old man so he can't sing 70s stuff anymore night after night. They have to pick newer stuff that suits his voice much better. #2 - Clockwork Angels is hard rocking album so they wanted to have good balance of synth stuff, hard rock stuff, classics and mellower stuff. I think they got this pretty much right. #3 - How many times have we heard Natural Science, Limelight, Freewill, Red Barchetta etc. in the last 10 years? Or in the last 30 years? I tell you. Too many times. They wanted to play lot's of songs we haven't heard for years. That shouldn't be bad thing should it? Yes they left out some fan favourites but unfortunately they can't play everything. Everybody knew we are going to get lots of CA stuff and that's a great thing because most of the material is very good. We also know that they will play Tom Sawyer, The Spirit of Radio and YYZ. The setlist shouldn't be that big shock even though I understand if you expected few more 70s songs. But even with let's say Xanadu and The Trees over Red Sector A and The Big Money the setlist wouldn't be that much different so I really don't understand all the bitching. Sorry but your expectations were unrealistic.

Listened the bootleg. First setlist is good not perfect. Seven synth era songs in a row is just way too much. Maybe Where's My Thing should be somewhere in the middle like being the 4th or 5th song or then replacing one of the synth songs (GD or Territories) with something from Counterparts like Cut to the Chase or Double Agent. Otherwise very good, Geddy sounds great and songs like The Body Electric which I even don't like that much sounded great live. But oh the second set. It was legen... wait for it... dary! Everything from Clockwork Angels sounded superb. Especially the title song was one that benefit the most, Wish Them Well being another one. If I have to name one disappointment it was Headlong Flight. It was pretty close to the original but it isn't easy song to sing so Geddy struggled a little bit. Still very nice though with the mini drum solo and everything. After the oh so lovely The Garden we got some nice 80s tunes. Both Manhattan Project and Red Sector A sounded absolutely gorgeous with the strings. Even YYZ which I have heard way too many times was great and the rendition was very good. Like I already have said Working Man should have been left out for another classic song but it was still okay. And there's was the encore. Both Tom Sawyer and The Spirit of Radio were very energetic so props for that. All in all great setlist even though it doesn't nearly have all my favourites. Great job Rush!

Listening the bootleg right now. Just finished first set and here's my latest feelings. Well first thing is that there one or two too many 80s songs in a row. Because Grand Desings does nothing to me I would have chanced that one with something from Counterparts. Otherwise it was very solid set and I loved almost everything. Maybe some classic in place of Far Cry and it would have been perfect. Now listening the second set. Caravan sounds absolutely awesome. I love the strings so much!!!

That's one of the last adjectives I'd use to describe JL...and they rehearsed it for the TMT, so clearly it's not an issue of pride. Well no matter is A better than B or other way around it's great that they chance songs daily basis. They have over 200 songs so it's always nice to hear as many songs as possible. I think they should do this more often.

19 albums which one is new and only time to play 25-30 songs. You can't have everything. Good choice to leave out S&A and VT almost entirely from the setlist with 9 songs from CA. However I think 9 is too much even though I like the album very much. 6-7 songs per leg keeping 4 songs and chancing few would have been better solution imo. Then there's a bit too much 80s stuff. Few more 70s tunes and something from Counterparts and the tour would have almost perfect. Now it's "only" very good. ps. I still think the VT Tour setlist is the best of modern Rush era. It had only 4 or 5 VT songs and lot's of variety and almost all the biggest classics.

damn it's 6 am already. The ending was slightly disappointment but overall the setlist was pretty good. I would like have to heard Xanadu, Jacob's Ladder or Losing It but oh well you can't get everything. Now really looking forward bootlegs and tour vids!

I'm predicting after The Garden we get six songs which are Losing It, Jacob's Ladder, Xanadu, Limelight and then for the encore Tom Sawyer and The Spirit of Radio.

I'm crying right now. I'm crying because I will miss Chigago gig I thought I was going to attend. On the other hand I'm crying for joy because the setlist is just sooooo awesome. Can't wait to see some youtube vids or hear some bootlegs! Rush rocks!

Good choices. Clockwork Angels rocks hard so good to have some mellower oldies too. I don't mind hearing Marathon again because after all it's maybe my favourite synth era Rush song. I would have chanced the two Counterparts songs to something else from that album. Like Cut to the Chase and Cold Fire but I'm fine with Nobody's Hero dedicated to Andrew. It still can be very good setlist but I hope they nail rest of the song choices because my fear right now is that there will be too many dull moments with all the ballady songs.

I see 3 songs become future concert classics Caravan The Wreckers Headlong Flight Clockwork Angels the song goes to epics not played in every tour. The Garden is bit like Resist. We may hear it time to time but probably not in every tour. The others... well I think we hear them randomly now and then. Caravan rocks live and is one of the best thing the boys has done in decades. The Wreckers is emotional and has a hooky chorus and it's overall very catchy tune. Headlong Flight rocks hard and there's never too many hard rockers especially when the band doesn't perform their oldest stuff anymore.
