Bit of a bump here, but I'm currently on holiday in Canada and saw Kim Mitchell live for the first time last night. Really great performance from a seasoned pro with effortlessly good chops Fantastic musicians to back him up too. No bells and whistles, just a straight ahead live rock show consummately delivered I filmed a short clip of Paradise Skies and compared it today with the below recording from the BBC in 1979 (not 77 as stated on YouTube). There really wasn't much difference at all, apart from the hair

You seem the type of guy who walks the streets after midnight, combing the area searching for potential hard rock fans, and when you find some you're determined to get them into KISS, Loverboy and Blue Oyster Cult... -

Overall thoughts outside of Ozzy/Sabbath sets which were great: Good: Metallica Tool Alice in Chains Steven Tyler sounded unbelievable, especially given recent vocal issues Anthrax Rival Sons Corgan doing Priest, surprisingly Slayer Bad: Hagar David Draiman Halestorm Pantera The Fred Durst solo acoustic "Changes" they showed via prerecorded video Somewhere in between: Guns N' Roses (the Sabbath stuff was great but Axl sounded rough on the two GNR songs they played) Mastodon Lamb of God (not my thing but they sounded fine for what they do) Gojira (same) -
