EagleMoon
Wendy's, I have not had it in years. But I stopped by a few weeks ago just to try it out. Thinking it had gotten better. That was a mistake. After a few bites of the burger I threw it out. Fu***** gross!! Really? I'm not a fan of burgers in general but generally Wendy's isn't too bad unless you get a poorly made one. Obviously it depends on who is making the food. But I will not be going back. I think it does depend on who makes the food. Obviously these places do not have any uniform way of doing things. So if you get someone making your burger who doesn't like a lot of salt or ketchup, that;s what you'll get too - a dry and tasteless burger. Or if it has been sitting under a heat lamp for hours.

I used to be a big fan of Wendy's, but something has changed in the flavor of their meat... it's like chronically underseasoned, almost flavorless. I feel like I get Wendy's and I'm just eating a topping burger with a protein patty. Love their chicken sandwiches though, and the food almost always at least appears to be good quality compared to other chain joints: fresh toppings, hot off the grill meat, fresh fries, etc... I just wish they'd figure out the flavor problem with their beef. And as far as meat flavor goes, Burger King is the best of the big three. If you don't mind greasy facilities, and a chance that it's been sitting around all day. A freshly made BK burger is the best fast food can offer. I almost always get a salad at Wendy's. Every once in a while I'll get the Baconator but that's it. I do love their Apple pecan chicken salad That Apple Pecan Chicken Salad sounds very good. How much do you get? Enough to fill you up? Permanent-Rush
But even in the local place we have, it depends on who is cooking that night. I love it when the guy that loves bacon makes my double bacon cheeseburger. He piles on the bacon! :) Nice. I never think about who is cooking it. It is only That One Guy. A place just down the road. Killer burgers and fries. fixed :P

pjbear05
If you don't like Wendy's and Burger King then you just don't like fast food at all. Buffalo wild wings is fast food? Chicken wings should not be served fast. That is not the proper way to cook them. Burger King food, much like McDonald's, tastes fake to me. Wendy's seems much better. Their salads and chicken are pretty good. I think there are two levels of fast food. There are the quick and dirty joints like McD's and BK and KFC and Taco Bell that are pure fast food with drive up windows, and then there are the chain restaurants like Buffalo Wild Wings and Applebee's and TGIFridays and Outback that are more of a sit-down place, but much of the food is prepared off-premises. Those places should never be confused with a respectable restaurant. I didn't realize that about Applebee's, etc. (Olive Garden falls in there, too) until a friend's wife got a job being a "chef" at Olive Garden. She quit after not too long because mostly she over saw cooking the pastas and opening bags of all the sauces they use that were prepared elsewhere and shipped in. There was nothing wrong going on there, but she wanted to actually cook more.I abhor Olive Garden and Red Lobster, and Applelbee's is worse. But nowhere is it as bad than at Longhorn Steak House. I had a T-Bone there so horribly shot with fake tenderizers, a chewed my first piece twice, spat it out, and asked for my check. Totally refused a new steak or other dish, just paid for the one beer and one drink (wife's) and left. Never again.
pjbear05
Good burger? If you're in FL, hit a Miller's Ale House. Consistently good burgers. The rest of the menu is pretty good too, and the draft beer selection ain't half bad either. Edited July 28, 2016 by pjbear05
