By-Tor smile.gif I swear, every time I listen to that song I like it more. Fly By Night is a great song as well, and one of the first Rush songs I ever heard spoofed "Fly by Night the Mountain Dew, Mountain Dew for youuuu" smile.gif but By-Tor takes it.

Best I can! The best song written by Geddy Lee.

Closely followed by Anthem and By-tor.

What do you think is the best song from this album?

T[FONT=Geneva][COLOR=red][SIZE=7] 1287.gif I picked this song because to me its the most exciting song on the LP. Still to this day it gets my blood pumping whenever I listen to it.

Rivendell.   GeddyFinal.gif sings it so sweetly.  He really captures the imagination with his words.

Anthem. It could have been ByTor but I get a bit bored during the battle instrumental section.

By-Tor-reasons

1) Great guitar solos (2nd is explosive w/ emotion)
2) Pratt does best on kit out of all 8 tracks
3) Lee shows great vocal range and power
4) They do a great job of portraying the battle and other scenes
5) Nice lyrecs (mythology/monsters make great Rock and Roll)
6) Plenty of song (longest w/ 8 minuts)
8) Detailed & most artistic

For me, my favorite song off of this album is "Beneath, Between and Behind". Why? Because being a citizen of the United States, I can appreciate songs that discuss the reality that perfect is not for real. Meaning, "Beneath the noble birth, Between the proudest words, Behind the beauty, cracks appear". I especially like the part where it says: "The guns replace the plow, facades are tarnished now, The principles have been betrayed, The dreams's gone stale, but still, let hope prevail" specifically because of how in our present time, the current administration of this country is militarizing itself, while taking it to a more republic extreme opposed to a democratic extreme. Too bad! Good song.

clearly Fly by Night -- its just another one of those  2.gif  classics.

I also like Tolkein, but still, fly by night is just awesome.   1022.gif
