QUOTE (KublaKhan @ Aug 9 2006, 03:03 PM) I wouldnt say. Its just one of there more frequently played songs, along with Spirit of Radio, Limelight, etc. You realize your "Xanadu" logo is from the Olivia Newton-John movie, right?

Damn, that's disappointing! And all this time I thought he was going down to the local Pawn Shop and piecing his kit together!

ATWAS was my favorite until RIR came out, I guess because I waited so long to see them again after their hiatus. I was there in Charlotte for their 3rd stop of "Vapor Trails" tour and it was great to see them again. ATWAS will always be one of my favorites, though, I'll take Rush live any day, period.

Red Sector A, since this song has such strong ties to the subject matter. Geddy's parents met a Auschwiz as teenagers.

This is most difficult! Moving Pictures (also caught the tour) is the guys at their best. If I had a second choice A Farewell to Kings , since that was my very first Rush experience. Xanadu just blew me away, and of course Closer to the Heart, Cygnus X-1, Cinderella Man.

This isn't very easy! Well, the first Rush I ever heard (@ 1977) was A Farewell to Kings. Xanadu was probably my first song from Rush. Me and some friends were partying (and what have you) when he asks, "Ever heard of Rush?" The next thing you know I'm positively blown away by this incredible music, unlike anything I've heard before! It usually takes a few times listening to a new group before I take a shine to them, but this was something special. I was hooked from the first tune! I pick "Kings" since it was my intro to Rush during a special time in my life.
