Slaine mac Roth Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Going to be boring and say By-Tor. It was great to hear it again at Wembley on Thursday + + =
faultline Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Aug 24 2004, 05:27 PM) 'In The End'. They are having fun playing this song and the sense of fun is both contagious and palpable. this was my pick too!..I am a sucker for the acoustic intros!
LakesideMaiden Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 I love most of the songs on this album, but Rivendell has always held a special place in my heart for a couple of reasons.... 1. It seems like it was almost written for my family farm in NH...which is Home to me 2. After my sis got bit by a dog, her ability to play the guitar waned much. She has surgery done, and by that time Father's Day was coming around....she and I worked on it, she learned the guitar part, I learned the words....and we played it for him...and he cried tears of joy, because he was so happy to see his eldest daughter playing the instrument he (and we all) love SO much. 3. (Like Phoenix) I am a big Tolkein fan, and have loved that song since the first time I heard it Still think it should have been in The Fellowship So there you have it, my many reasons for loving the song Rivendell
Fuz Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 One of the best Rush works... appartently an hard choice, but Beneath, Between & Behind is one of my all-time favorite songs
Pags Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 I voted for Anthem. But, I'm sad to see no votes for Making Memories. It remains, year over year, such a great song.
yoda Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 This was an easy choice by-tor by far loved the whole album but being a bass player growing up that had to be my choice the bass solo rocked in this song definatly the best bass work geddy ever did glad to see them add it to the later tours
slammz Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 I would have to go with Anthem!! It gets my blood going and makes me play the air guitar!!
RushRevisited Posted October 16, 2004 Author Posted October 16, 2004 QUOTE (slammz @ Oct 16 2004, 12:31 AM) I would have to go with Anthem!! It gets my blood going and makes me play the air guitar!! slammz did ya see the Rush In Rio 1975 hidden video of Anthem? If not ya gotta!
Slacker Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 any where any where but here, any place the dark lord can not go!..
1974FAN Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Even though the title cut was written where I grew up. Lansing, Michigan. There was something about "In The End" that just made it such a great tune.
NeilPeartFan2112 Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 By-tor is one of my all time favorites!
moonmad Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 By-Tor and the SNOW DOG!! ok my friends............. moonmad ( from brasil )
forceofechos Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 The lyric's to Antem is a good way to live life.
Sodoff Baldrick Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 In the End. I always thought this was a sexy song.
Batman Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Tough choice narrowed it down to By-Tor and Beneath, Between And Behind Had to go with the latter.......................... The guns replace the plow, facades are tarnished now The principles have been betrayed The dreams's gone stale, but still, let hope prevail History's debt won't be repaid
Barchetta Unlimited Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Nice to see that Best I Can already has a vote. I always loved this song. Its rhythm is fantastic. But I have to choose By-Tor.
RushGuru Posted December 1, 2004 Posted December 1, 2004 Fly By Night. No Question. By tor is a close second though.
between sun and moon Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 anthem particularly sticks out as an excellent song to me.
