Unsung, criminally underrated, virtually unknown but brilliant drummers, who are they?

Andy Newmark (Sly and the Family Stone, Roxy Music, Lennon, etc)

Rick and Jerry Marotta (studio greats - Steely Dan, Peter Gabriel, etc)

Yogi Horton only recorded a few times in his all-too-short life, but this is a good 'un:

His pattern seems to be based on a RLRL RRLL sticking. :o

This is a nice pattern too:

Marco Minnemann and Gavin Harrison. Probably not underrated by drummers but hardly known outside of them.

Except for us non-players with good taste.

Just kidding of course but yes they remain unknown

I saw gavin twice

Think i saw mangini with vai???

Really chimed to say it looks like gavin is touring the us with the pineapple thief?
