goose
A's pitcher Sean Manaea gets the no-hitter! A ray of sunshine in what has been a dark season so far.

MusicHead
The Dbacks are tied with BoSox at 19-7 for best record in the bigs. My Cubbies have taken the first three against the BrewCrew, and I'm hoping for a four-game sweep today.
Crimsonmistymemory
Holy Cow Tampa Bay Rays on an 8 game win streak and now 1 game out of .500! Whoda thunk it?

Principled Man
In his first Major League game, the Brewers' 21-year old prospect Freddy Peralta pitched 5 & 2/3 innings of magnificent baseball. 0 runs, 1 hit (in the 6th), 2 walks and a franchise record 13 K's. Not bad for a MLB debut!! :haz: :haz: :haz:

Principled Man
The Brewers prevailed against the Diamondbacks and home plate umpire Angel Hernandez, 1-0. Hernandez is something else. His reputation as one of the worst umpires in the game is well deserved. He started off OK, but as the game went on, he literally forgot what a strike is. His reputation as one of the worst umpires in the game is well deserved. He started off OK, but as the game went on, he literally forgot what a strike is. He forgot it a long time ago. Now my Angels are 0-4 against Yanks. Hoping they can win since they’re amazing on the road but suck at home. Sosh needs to stop taking pitchers out in the 7th. Get a grip, Mike. The blowpen...blows. goose
Right now the top 4 teams in the AL West, the Oakland As included, would be leading the AL Central by 2+ games. The NL West and Central are reversed. Edited May 28, 2018 by goose

Crimsonmistymemory
Holy Baseaballs the Rays are 2 games over .500, in 3rd place (10 games out) in the AL east. This must be a fluke :LMAO:

This must be a fluke :LMAO: My Angels have a reputation for being slump busters against teams they’re supposed to beat regarding the last time they played them. Christ, they couldn’t even beat the Tigers, a team they’ve dominated the most in the Trout era. Can’t wait until Scioscia leaves next year. Good riddance.
Crimsonmistymemory
Ah things a righting themselves in the universe. The Rays have now lost 3 in a row (& probably a 4th to close out the Mariners series) & now are 1 game below .500!
