No dog tracks on CoS.

Agreed. Pollster bias. :boo hiss:

COS is probably my sixth fave Rush album and it has one dog: ITIGB.

:(

I dig it, and much prefer it over the similar In the Mood. I like the heavy sound, and these lines, in particular:

Once we loved the flowers

Now we ask the price of the land

Once we would take water

But now it must be wine

Now we've been

And now we've seen

What price peace of mind

GO WILD!!!!

The only song on COS that I listen to is Fountain of Lamneth. I love it, and I love Alex playing his heart out on it.

I like Lakeside Park a lot too.

I will confess, and won't say it too loudly, but Geddy's seventies' voice is bothering me lately.

Makes me wince. Let's hope john rogers doesn't see this. He's on a "turn in your Rush card" kick lately.

But we like synth-era RUSH. We get a pass.

I love Geddy's lower register voice! Listening to Dreamline right now... :D-13:

Caress wasn't produced as well as Fly By was. Sounded thin by comparison. For one thing, Terry didn't multitrack Geddys vocals like he did on the previous album plus I read something awhile back about the tape they recorded and mastered from was damaged or flawed in some fashion.

No dog tracks on CoS.

The "dog" track is on "Testicles For Ego."

Funny, just listened to Caress yesterday on my commute. One of the greatest records ever made on the earth. Not one bad not.

I think it's funny how many Rush fans on here always rip "I Think I'm Going Bald." I mean seriously. It was written tongue in cheek to pay homage to KISS and "Goin' Blind." The opening riff on "Bald" kicks ass. The solo? Fuckking killer.

Love love love ever track!!! MASTERPIECE!

Oh and those empty suits at Mercury Records back in 1975 can bite me!

First time I've read a post knocking CoS production. If anything, production is a strength, making the album one of the warmest of the band's career.

Exactly. So you are biased.

Necromancer and Lamneth are my favorite Rush tunes on my favorite album.

Dim the lights, put the lava lamp on, :smoke: , put the needle down on your vinyl copy. Enjoy.

Love listening to Necromancer on headphones. You can feel the music moving through your brain.

Agrees with Goose. Love the production on this. I think AFTK has the best production sound, but COS is close.

Gross, gross, gross! I need to wear latex gloves to handle this album. But Bastille Day is awesome. Like, really awesome. Universally loved amongst Rush fans, and for good reason.

And Lakeside Park, while it is kinda crummy, is at least somewhat listenable, compared to the majority of the turd that is Caress of Steel.
