barney_rebel
QUOTE (dweezil @ Jul 6 2005, 10:31 PM) Frankie Goes to Hollywood did a cover of The Power of Love? Or did Huey Lewis and the News do the cover? I'm confused now. Celine Dion did a cover too (same title, different song). Here is the Frankie version: QUOTE Gill/Johnson/Nash/O'Toole) I'll protect you from the hooded claw Keep the vampires from your door Feels like fire I'm so in love with you Dreams are like angels They keep bad at bay-bad at bay Love is the light Scaring darkness away-yeah I'm so in love with you Purge the soul Make love your goal *The power of love A force from above Cleaning my soul Flame on burn desire Love with tongues of fire Purge the soul Make love your goal I'll protect you from the hooded claw Keep the vampires from your door When the chips are down I'll be around With my undying, death-defying Love for you Envy will hurt itself Let yourself be beautiful Sparkling love, flowers And pearls and pretty girls Love is like an energy Rushin' rushin' inside of me *(Repeat) This time we go sublime Lovers entwine-divine divine Love is danger, love is pleasure Love is pure-the only treasure I'm so in love with you Purge the soul Make love your goal The power of love A force from above Cleaning my soul The power of love A force from above A sky-scraping dove Flame on burn desire Love with tongues of fire Purge the soul Make love your goal I'll protect you from the hooded claw Keep the vampires from your door

war2112
I love this topic! Destiny's Child - If my friends saw me trying to dance to their stuff they would either laugh or puke (probably both). I'm almost ready to come out of the closet with my love for these girls, though. Tears for Fears - I HATED this stuff growing up but now I like some of it. Now when I hear it, it puts a smile on my face and I think "hey, these guys aren't so bad. Perhaps a little light in the loafers, but pretty good". Duran Duran - See immediately above. Yeah, it's bubblegum pop but good chewing. Hall & Oates - Again the same, but with a twist. I saw those guys on Charlie Rose about a year ago and was really struck by the fact that they are indeed very talented. Good voices and they aren't gay at all. Sorry, that was a criteria growing up. Now I could care less, but they really are pretty damned good. Great topic, Puppetking!
