Kiyoshi Kurosawa made some great horror films in the past 15-20 years

"Cure" is a masterpiece

I'd say these are my favorite for modern horror

- Cure and Kairo from Kiyoshi Kurosawa - these two are incredible

- Tale Of Two Sisters ( Korea )

- Dorm ( Thailand )

- Let The Right One In ( Sweeden )

- Battle Royale

- Suicide Club

- Ju On

- Man Behind The Scissors

You have probably seen this already, if not check out 'kill list'

Not horror in a strict sense, terrified me non the less.

I have seen just about every horror film ever made, but this was just about the scariest **** I've ever seen

It's Earl on a babe hunt after one too many drinks!

Classic JB. Classic. It's so true.

What film is that from Earl?

I always love a good Earl wake up call.

I just wish he'd go back to starting crazy threads about the bands of the moment he loves...or HATES...

I've taken a break from other band rants. Man, I'm in a serious hard rock hair metal mode so threads about those bands have either been done before or no one on a Rush forum would give a shit.

So for instance. This thread is totally all over the place. Typical right?

I have been in a huge White Lion phase. Most people would laugh if I wrote another White Lion thread. However I did pay Vito Bratta homage on this thread. Such an underrated guitar player. Very EVH in style yet he has his own flash and tone. Love the guy!!!!

Also been addicted to Y&T this week. The first six albums dude are masterpieces.

Just saying.

Oh shit, I've also been listening to a lot of April Wine! Great Canadian band dude. The song "ROLLER" is going to be my next wedding song!! The great thing about that is it doesn't matter. I will never marry again!!

Ciao Baby!

Love,

THE CULT

Thanks dude!!! No! I haven't seen it!!!

See? Something good always comes out of something slightly bad!

I'm glad I created this chaotic cliche rant thread!

I discovered more albums thanks to Duck and more horror movies to watch thanks to you and Lucas.

Oh and I love JB's sense of humor!!

I'm in shock buddy! The first one is the best in my opinion. But I would say the first four are worth checking out. They get really cheesy throughout the years. But they are entertaining. Alice Cooper recorded a song for one of them. "The Man Behind The Mask." It's not that good.

More supernatural but I love "Poltergeist" too. First Nightmare On Elm Street is good.

A good list, although I'm not that big a fan of Prince of Darkness though I really like Donald Pleasence.

What about THE OMEN and the EXORCIST and THE THING and THE INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS (1978)?

I basically think part 1 is the only one worth it.

Part 2 was ok I guess.

Part 3 was only fun because at the time of release it was in 3D. As a little 10 year old kid watching that in the cinema in '82, it was good stuff.

Can't remember which one had Corey Feldman but his name should be enough to avoid any slasher flick.

Yeah, the first Nightmare is good but I'd like to choke all those involved in making the Elm Street sequels. Dream Warriors...what crap. Not horrific when it was supposed to be, not funny when it tried to be.

Poltergeist...that's one of my & MarkyBlaze's favorites to quote!....

"You only moved the headstones, didn't ya?!! Didn't ya?!!!"

"Ahhhhhh...."

One of the most fun 80s movies out there!

I actually like that one dude. I love the end man. Corey is a nerd boys special effects kid. He pretends to be a young boy Jason to confuse him. Then Coery butchers the crap out of Jason. I love the intensity and rage.

No doubt! "Poltergeist" still ROCKS today!! Better than that piece of shite remake.

Hey well at least there is a "Grace Under Pressure" poster hanging over Johnny Depp's bed in "Nightmare!"
