Digital Dad
Ive not been listening to them much at all as of late. I kind of peaked when the boxes came out well nigh on 10 years ago now. But ive always listened to them ever since Misunderstanding came out as a single.

tangy
I'm going to be a THREAD KILLER!!!!! Oh and I am dead serious. "CALLING ALL STATIONS" IS ONE OF THE GREATEST ALBUMS EVER MADE!!!!!! It's up there next to "Hemispheres." If "Shipwrecked" doesn't make you shed a tear then you have no heart. I dont think i have ever heard that one. Thats the one with nick d'virgilio ? His wotk with spocks beard is brilliant.

bathory
my favorite 80s genesis songs are the ones where they try to "throw back" to the 70s, like duke's travels, dodo/lurker

His wotk with spocks beard is brilliant. He only plays on 4 tracks. The big shame here is not that Ray Wilson was rhe vocalist, its the fact that Kevin Gilbert wasn't. Digital Dad
my favorite 80s genesis songs are the ones where they try to "throw back" to the 70s, like duke's travels, dodo/lurker What abour Home by the Sea. What about Domino? What about Fading Lights?? There are plenty of proggish momenrs on the later albums. Shame you need to sift thru a lot of dreck. Genesis is the last album with 2 great sides equaling one very good whole.

New_World_Man
Along with YES and King Crimson they were the band who got me into prog rock. I prefer the seventies material. However, I actually think the two they did just before Steve left(Trick of the tail and wind and wuthering)were their best albums. All the ones with PG were of course great too. canadianice
There,s a fat old lady outside the saloon, laying out the credit cards she plays fortune, the deck is uneven right from the start, and all of their hands are playing a part.

Rod in Toronto
I´m listening to Calling All Stations now. Not a bad album. If this was released as a side project, I guarantee everyone on the forum would be calling it "an underrated gem".
