Anyone else having this dilemma?...

I don't think this is the proper place to post this but here goes anyway. Just curious if anyone else is having the same problem I am having with my phone and videos. I think I have seen a post or two here and there discussing this but I haven't seen anything official or any answers to the issue. I spend way to much time in bed these days and I am always on my phone when I do so. It limits the things I am able to do i.e emoticons, using bold, installing photos etc etc but I can still follow the goings on and post fine and find some enjoyment during my all to frequent downtime.

Anyway it seems that maybe two days ago (maybe three) I have lost the ability to watch the videos that are being posted. I can't even tell what they are as a matter of fact. I was just going to attempt to post what I am seeing instead of the video but since I am now on my laptop I can't  do it since the videos come up fine on here. As much as I really don't enjoy Fakebook that much I can still watch videos fine on there from my phone. My phone is relatively new and is a Samsung S6 and was getting the videos fine up until this point and is actually a pleasure to use in comparison to my old POS S2. Slightly larger screen, easier texting etc etc.

What gives if anything? Anyone else had this problem and does your experience mirror mine in any way? This will not keep me up at night that is for damn sure but I was just curious really. Thanks in advance for your comments and commentary and insight.... :fuckinputer: (insert phone at the end of the hammer :D )

I had that problem with my Kindle. Try clearing your browser cache and then restarting your phone :)

The latter I can do with no problem. The former might as well be in another language but thanks anyway... :eh:

:sigh: :rfl: I honestly only wish I was enticed by such things anymore and LRM could have explained it that way to begin with and I may have understood it. I wouldn't know anything about cookies either to be frank. I'll ask my wife about it later and if my son still lived here he to take care of this matter in a minute but those days appear to be over at least for now. I will at least do a restart and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestions either way...

I did a restart and it did say something about "starting with Android" or something like that. It still doesn't work and says in the little block where the video should be "This plugin not supported" whatever the F that means.... :rage:

I have an iPhone and I can see videos no problem. I wasn't able to see/listen to the audio clips posted yesterday in the blooper thread but so far everything else is working fine.

The sh*t is still happening. I have restarted my phone more than once and powered it off and on and its still doing it. My wife cleared my cache last night (not a euphemism btw) and the videos still won't show up. :wtf: folks... :rage:

I can't help with the video delema but I can help with the emoticons. I had to learn this as well. Next time your at you desk top (or laptop) pull up the emoticon window. You will notice to the left there are words or abbreviations that are preceeded and followed by : If you type the word or abbreviation that is in between the :'s the appropriate emoticon will appear in your post. For example (I have to put spaces in the letters of the the exaples to illustrate) : l o l : will appear  , : d 1 3 : will appear :d13: , : a n g e l : , etc. Make sure you also space before and after the :'s or it will not produce the emoticon image. Now all you have to do is memorize all the codes for your favorite emoticons. I hope this helps ;) [ ; ) ] Edited by Crimsonmistymemory

I noticed that yesterday on my phone. The problem (with mine, at least) is that the plug-in is missing, which means there is no software to display/play the video. Have you just upgraded the system on your phone? (Android recently released a system update.) I updated mine a few days ago and I suspect this is the reason the videos are not playing.

The way to fix this is to install a new plug-in. I suspect the missing plug-in is Adobe Flash, but it has been discovered that Flash has some serious security issues that can allow others to gain access to your phone/computer. So use caution if you decide to install this particular plug-in.

The rotary dial is probably just getting stuck. #firstworldproblems

Could be onto something there.

Narps, have you tried fiddling with the oscillating magnetometer?

:LMAO: Appreciate you guys. A good laugh to start the day beats many other ways it could start...

There's gotta be an app that dials a cell phone like a rotary phone. If nothing else it would be a great prank to install on someone's phone.
