Segue Myles
I don't hear HYF at all. I hear a blend of Images And Words and Spock's Beard. I think the emotional side of this album is comparable to HYF. Second Nature would fit nicely in a retooled version. But musically this is better. Less tight song structures and nice instrumental tangents. Broken is beautiful.

Mick The more I get into the album the more I can hear it. This is proggier. But it has that emotional element. I guess it just feels airier than HYF. It reminded me of Presto first.

Segue Myles
Segue, do you plan on going any further into the Savatage discography? Yes! Tonight, in fact! I was talking about them to my friend today. I loved Sirens! I hope to continue being blown away! I take on board you saying I may have exaggerated it's greatness. That was just my initial reaction and it was a fantastic listening experience! I may soften towards it.

Unless you want to listen to what came before him first which is fine as well.

Segue Myles
Just started it! The title track is everything I enjoy about eighties metal. I sense a bit of an Iron Maiden vibe...and a little thrash and power. Excellent band!

Segue Myles
J2112YYZ Sorry of I offended you over the Satan thing. Seriously I know it's not a big deal I shouldn't even have mentioned it... And I will continue on with the band!

And I will continue on with the band! You didn't offend me. In fact it takes a lot to offend me. My standards must be too low When I was younger and used to be religious, the satan lyrics in metal never bothered me. I guess it's just never been an issue with me. Savatage left the satan stuff far behind. They're really not that kind of band at all.

I just would rather not have that particular theme in my music, not even to be mocked. Sheesh...try being a HIM fan and what I am! And I can tell they are not. So I shall proceed onwards! J2112YYZ
Segue, are you still working your way through the Savatage albums? I know you've heard the first two but I will speed things along and tell you to skip the next two and listen to Hall Of The Mountain King next. From that album forward is the reason the band has the small but devoted following they have.

Why was Bruce Springsteen's wife booed when she gave her RRHOF induction thank you speech when she said that she loved Bruce? I boo coz... BRUCE IS MINE DAMMIT I was thinking just last night of going on a major Bruce run. I'm not sure why...it would be highly unusual for me.
