Thick as a Brick doesn't qualify.

A) Really Don't Mind / See There a Son Is Born (05:00)

B)The Poet and the Painter (05:29)

C)What Do You Do When the Old Man's Gone? / From the Upper Class (05:25)

So it's not officially considered one track?

Steely Dan - Aja:Black Cow, Aja, Deacon Blues; The Royal Scam: Kid Charlemagne, Caves of Altamira, Don't Take Me Alive

XTC - English Settlement:Runaways, Ball and Chain, Senses Working Overtime

Porcupine Tree- Fear of A Blank Planet: Fear...,My Ashes, Anesthetize

The Police- Ghost In The Machine: Spirits In The Material World, Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Invisible Sun

The Beatles- Revolver: Taxman, Eleanor Rigby, You Wont See Me

Billy Joel -Nylon Curtain: Allentown, Laura, Pressure

Love the XTC callout. It is a perfect opening. Police "Spirits..." also. Re Revolver, "You Won't See Me" is track #3 on Rubber Soul. Rubber Soul has a great opening three tracks also though, whether it's the UK or U.S./Capitol version.

Oy..You right. It still works though because I'm Only Sleeping is track #3 on Revolver.

No, those are just the subdivided three portions that begin the album.

You....bleep,bleep

The only thing that can beat Script is Clutching.

Well played!!! :)

While I think CAS is the better album the opening side of Script is a pretty mindblowing opening to a career.

I feel like if an album has a strong 1-2-3 punch, it's usually a top notch album all the way through. There are just too many of those to list.
