They sounded stellar.

A few flubs here and there by Alex on Far Cry going out of the opening riff (he blew the F Sharp chord) Shit happens and it is early in the tour.

Neil missed a couple of hits coming into a few spots...nothing highly noticeable at all.

CD quality.

Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please,

I just listened to how beautiful the song Losing It is.

I so wish they could ad this to the set list in between The Garden and A Farewell to Strings...Spirit of the Radio.

I'm thinking this is probably the only tour that they will have the strings available and they are such an awesome addition!

BTW

I went to the first Chicago show and I think they played playlist A.

So I'm hoping for playlist B obviously.

I need to here Wish Them Well.

Ultimate Wish list song would be How it Is from Vapor Trails!

See you in Chicago! :7up:

Since there are 9 shows on the tour, I think the guys are going to keep the A, A1, and B rotation. It splits it up nicely and evenly. Unfortunately, this means I'll be seeing set B for the second time in AC. I don't think they thought that one out too well. Both the Philly show and the Newark show had set B. It'll be great nonetheless, but I would still like to see 7CoG and Manhattan Project instead of Wish Them Well.

So if my pattern is correct, this is how the setlists will rotate from now on...

01-May

Nashville, TN A (Limelight/Bravado/7CoG/Manhattan Project)

03-May

Raleigh, NC A1 (The Body Electric/Bravado/7CoG/Manhattan Project)

05-May

Virginia Beach, VA B (Middletown Dreams/The Pass/Wish Them Well/Dreamline)

07-May

Baltimore, MD A (Limelight/Bravado/7CoG/Manhattan Project)

09-May

Uncasville, CT A1 (The Body Electric/Bravado/7CoG/Manhattan Project)

11-May

Atlantic City, NJ B (Middletown Dreams/The Pass/Wish Them Well/Dreamline)

I'm 100% with you on Losing It! Unfortunately, I don't think its going to happen! Not on this tour anyway. And if what you say holds true, and they don't tour again with strings, it probably never happen and its a shame 'cause that songt was ripe for this tour.

IMO, Losing It is a "swan~song" portraying the demise of a performer and a writer...at this point of their career as they are aging and yet firing on ALL cylinders creatively, and live...that song just doesn't fit the plan... :)

:hi: welcome to TRF!

Ah, ok, Limelight WAS played in Nashville- With only 4 concerts down, it is already all mixed up

Maybe what we should do is make a list where only the people who actually went to that concert get to add which setlist was played!

I was in Austin- they played Limelight, Bravado, SCOG, Manhattan Project

Hi, another Raleigh person here - Body Electric. It was Body Electric / Bravado / Mahattan / Seven Cities! Unfortunately that was the same setlist as Charlotte on the first leg of the tour! Of all the nights to double-back on it they did it now?

Other than the setlist unexpectedly being the same, everything was perfect as always!

So if I'm correct:

Austin: Limelight / Bravado / Seven Cities of Gold / Manhattan Project

Ft. Lauderdale: The Body Electric / Bravado / Seven Cities of Gold / Manhattan Project

Orlando: Middletown Dreams / The Pass / Wish them Well / Dreamline

Nashville: Limelight / Bravado / Seven Cities of Gold / Manhattan Project

Raleigh: The Body Electric / Bravado / Seven Cities of Gold / Manhattan Project

Assuming those are correct, here are the overall totals for the tour (both legs included):

40/40: Tom Sawyer, YYZ, Subdivisions, The Analog Kid, Red Sector A, The Big Money, Grand Designs, Territories, Force Ten, Where's My Thing?, Far Cry, Caravan, Clockwork Angels, The Anarchist, Halo Effect, The Wreckers, Headlong Flight, The Garden

39/40: 2112 Overture/The Temples of Syrinx/Grand Finale, Carnies

36/40: The Spirit of Radio

23/40: Seven Cities of Gold

22/40: Manhattan Project, Bravado

19/40: Wish them Well

18/40: The Pass, Dreamline

17/40: The Body Electric

16/40: Middletown Dreams

7/40: Limelight

5/40: Working Man

It was a great show, but this tour is really taking its toll on them. They are giving it their all, but I've seen them age just in a matter of months. You really have to be in awe of their effort. I think it's their last tour.

I agree, I saw them in Orlando and you can see that they are certainly tired especially Geddy's voice. It was cracking a little even when he was just speaking to the crowd. I do not know if this is their last tour but I expect them to take a good amount of time off.

I think you're wrong and Clockwork isn't even their last album.

Oh, A bit worrying to read those last posts. They are 60ish aren't they, and can't keep going for ever. Geddy basically can't talk for a whole day following a show, so that much take its toll.

That's incorrect sir, In Austin they Played Limelight hence the "B" setlist by the legend stated at the begining or how you are looking at it:

Austin was B

Ft. Lauderdale was A

Orlando was C

Nashville, B again.

I've always thought Losing It would be kind of a downer in a live setting. I don't get everyone's need to see this one live.

Its an awesomely crafted song. The words are poetic, the 5/4 time signature is haunting and addictive, and Ben Mink's solo is simply a masterful brilliant work of art! All together its a Masterpiece!

Thats why?

I don't think its their last tour or last album at that. I still think they have their Swan Song or 21st Studio album (Blackjack) left in them. And If they want to protect Geddy Voice all they have to do is tour with a Mainly all Instrumental Tour set list to follow:

Set 1: (Instrumentals are highlighted)

Instrumedley:

(Finding My Way, By-Tor & The Snow Dog, The Necromancer, A Passage to Bangkok, Cygnus X-1, Hemipsheres (Prelude), Freewill)

Limelight

Carvan

Where's My Thing?

Leave that Thing Alone

Limbo

The Anarchist

Carnies

Clockwork Angels

2112 (Overture/Temples/Finale)

Set 2:

The Archives Instrumedley:

( Working Man/ What You're Doing/ Anthem/ Fly By Night/ Bastile Day/ No One at The Bridge/ Didacts and Narpits/ Bastile Day Reprise- The Ending)

Far Cry

Driven (with Bass Solo)

Main Monkey Business

Show Don't Tell

Jacobs Ladder

New Instrumental (Precipeter)

New Instrumental (A'dieu aux Fans)

Seven Cities of Gold

Red Barchetta

Mal-Nar

Drum Solo (Skin Trade)

Hope/ The Garden

Tom Sawyer

The Spirit of Radio

Encore:

YYZ

La Villa Strangiatto

Closer to the Heart (Extended)

Like this, Geddy's is only singing during 15 songs the rest of the songs are Instrumentals. This tour would protect Geddy's voice more than any other tour :finbar: ! And it will Totally ROCK!

:rush: :haz: :rush:
