  1. hard to say... How it Is was neat to hear... but One Little Victory is a pretty strong tune. Sorta falls under "Ugh, I really don't care" at the end of the day. Camera Eye is pretty exciting. I thought it might popo up, but hate that it's at the expese of Red Barchetta. That doesn'e seem fair. The swap of Between the Wheels and Distant Early Warning is kinda a wash too. I think I was more excited about BTW. Yeah... pretty jazzed.
  2. I wouldn't re-mix, re-edit anything on Hold Your Fire. I listened to HYF again for the first time in many years, and a thought came to mind; It was 1987, and you know what a lot of popular music sounded like? Phil Collins F'in Phil Collins HYF sounds like an attempt to have that smoothed out "adult contemporary" sound that was so pervasive on so many recordings of the time, and while there are some great songs on the record, that's the taste left in my mouth after having not listened to the record in forever. Force Ten is probably the only track on the album that doesnt' give me that vibe. I don't know, maybe they were shooting for a "mature" record, and that was the result.
  3. I like that version quite a bit too. Alex seems to have a more throaty guitar tone in recent years, and it's perfect for that La Villa. Still, my favorite La Villa Strangiato is from ESL. Not gonna bash the studio version, but live is where it's at for that song.
  4. Austin was A Ft. Lauderdale was B Orlando was C Nashville, A again. We'll see what happens tonight, I suppose. Nashville was an awesome show. That's incorrect sir, In Austin they Played Limelight hence the "B" setlist by the legend stated at the begining or how you are looking at it: Austin was B Ft. Lauderdale was A Orlando was C Nashville, B again. :codger: Oops... my mistake. I misread the OP's updated legend for the setlist rotation. Sorry folks.

  6. Yep... those look like the bikes I've seen in the videos of him riding. He's probably cruising along 40 w, or a road parallel to it, towards Nashville as I type this.
  7. Thanks much. Yeah, I cut a few songs, and added a few others while trying to keep the spirit of the original setlist from that tour intact. I saw the HYF tour in 88, and never really cared for Mission for whatever reason. Sorry.
  8. Seems to me they could switch it all up from night to night if they really wanted to. If they had the sets figured out say... that day, they could rearrange the cues for the lighting, sample triggers, pyro etc as needed, wouldn't you think?
  9. Ok... I'll bite. Hold Your Fire 87-88 Set I Intro ("Three Stooges Theme") The Big Money Subdivisions Limelight Marathon Manhattan Project Closer To The Heart Cygnus X-1 Book II (Prelude) New World Man Witch Hunt Red Sector A Set II Force Ten Time Stand Still Prime Mover Turn The Page Freewill Xanadu Distant Early Warning Territories Entre Nous YYZ The Rhythm Method (Drum Solo) The Spirit Of Radio Tom Sawyer Encore: 2112 Overture/Syrinx/Finale La Villa Strangiato In The Mood
  10. Those would go well with my 2112 coffee mug.
  11. After only two shows into the second leg, it's been inconclusive as to exactly what Rush is doing this time around. One song was swapped out for another between the two shows, but tonight might give us a little better idea.
  12. Born in 1971, and discovered Rush when I was 10-11 years old when my slightly older cousin played Permanent Waves for me. After that, I began to recognize other songs on the radio as Rush tunes... Tom Sawyer, The Trees, Fly By Night etc. I distinctly recall Grace Under Pressure coming out, and seeing the videos on MTV, and not being real into it at the time. It was too gloomy and dystopian, or something. Nothing for a typical 13 year old to really dig, as far as I was concerned. I came back around when Power Windows was released, and finally saw them in concert during Hold Your Fire.
  13. It's gonna be a Set B. Middletown Dreams unless they decide to play Limelight, if I'm understanding it correctly. Which would be alright, I suppose. Was hoping for a Set A for Nashville, and looking forward to Body Electric.
