Xanadoood
Black sabbath- Master of RealityBlack Sabbath- Volume 4Judas Priest - British SteelMetallica - Ride the LightningSlayer- Reighn in BloodIron Maiden - Number of The BeastVan Halen - Van HalenPantera - Vulgar Display of PowerMotörhead - Ace of SpadesAc/ Dc - Back in Black I consider these the genre defining albums. And no Metal fan should be without .The only ones I don't have are the Pantera and Metallica. I never did understand the fuss about Metallica and Pantera never really grabbed me either... Pantera waved the flag for Metal during that early to mid 90s alternative explosion. Even though Metal never went away, by 1990 bands like Bullet Boys were considered Metal, and Pantera gave the scene a good kick in the ass, plus they had a sort of hardcore vibe with Phil at the mic. Metallica defined 80s thrash, wether you like them or not, they jump started a whole scene. And those first 4 albums rock.

Like ThisFlick of the switch was another great one, the top 2 Johnson albums, Fly on the wall and Flick of the switch, after black in black, these 2 prove they still have it. Fly on the wall wasmuch heavier sounding than Flick, songs like Danger, fly on the wall, sake your foundations, sink the pink just yelled metal. Plus that was my 3 concert I ever went to, and the loudestshow I ever heard, The stage show was the bell , 2 cannons and the band, and a big fan behind them, and listened today to flick of the switch , just love this house is on fire, nervousshakedown, bedlam in Belgium and of course flick of the switch and rising power. GeddyLeeRoth
I'm leaving out hard rock titans like Van Halen, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, early Rush, KISS and some others, because Heavy Metal became more defined as a genre with the NWOBHM, leaving the formerly mentioned more or less cousins to true metal. They were rightly referred to as 'heavy metal' in the 70's, but now its debatable. Here's my list... 1. Master Of Puppets—Metallica2. Reign In Blood—Slayer3. Number Of The Beast—Iron Maiden4. Blizzard Of Ozz—Ozzy5. Ride The Lightning—Metallica6. Paranoid—Black Sabbath7. Master Of Reality—Black Sabbath8. Shout At The Devil—Motley Crue9. Peace Sells—Megadeth10. Tempo Of The Damned—Exodus Crap, I had to leave out some good ones.

Headhunter,Hardware and blitz were great albums. They opened for Def Leppard on the Pyromania tour. They were supporting Headhunter. Not a great band, but a good one. Entertaining live show.
