We did this a few years ago so it's time to do it agian . It does not have to be in order . No Live or Greatest Hits , just Studio albums from Heavy Metal bands

 

Iron Maiden - Piece Of Mind

Judas Priest - Hell Bent For Leather

Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloddy Sabbath

Dio - The Last In Line

Motorhead - Overkill

Saxon - Denim and Leather

Thin Lizzy - Black Rose

Metal Church - Metal Church

Deep Purple - Machine Head [yes, they are Metal]

Accept - Restless and Wild

I can't think of just 10, once I had the 10 written down I'd remember another 10 that needed to be in there, then another 10 and another 10 and pretty soon it'd be a top 100. Then I'd remember another 100...

Only thing is that Priest album is actually called Killing Machine!

Killing Machine was retitled Hell Bent for Leather for release in the US, because the US branch of Columbia/CBS did not like the "murderous implications" of the album title and with "The Green Manalishi (With the Two-Pronged Crown)" an early Fleetwood Mac cover, being added to the recording.

I consider these the genre defining albums. And no Metal fan should be without .

The only ones I don't have are the Pantera and Metallica. I never did understand the fuss about Metallica and Pantera never really grabbed me either...

Don't be a Whimp Ducky , use the ol "On a Island " for your top 10, see what you come up with .

The fuss about Pantera was . atleast in the u.s. , the Only Metal band to have a Number 1 album and play packed arenas when Grunge was riding high and Metal was left for dead. I don't count Metallica because they were Not Metal in the 90's

How can you claim 90's Metallica isn't metal? Maybe it was shit but I'm pretty sure it's metal!

Load and ReLoad are crap and pretty much Not Metal lol
