If you need to save your cash, don't buy f***ing Panic! At the Disco.

I was waiting for that. laugh.gif Anyways, it's a good album - not as good as Pretty. Odd. - but still pretty good. I wish it had less Fall Out Boy, and more synths/strings.

Booker T, with Drive By Truckers and Neil Young: Potato Hole

Fantastic new album of the legendary organ grinder Booker T.

The combination of Booker T's soulful Hammond organ and the southern rock sound of Drive By Truckers works really well. Neil young provides lead guitar to bring the icing on the cake. This is a great instrumental album.

That was the first one I got. wub.gif

The only one I've got left to get is their eponymous debut... I think I'm going to skip over Giant For A Day and Civilian. I also have to start on their live stuff.

When I was in Minot I got:

Yes - Tormato

The debut is ok... kinda raw but has its moments. Good call on Giant for a Day and Civilan. They were embarrassing attempts at a more commercial sound.

Tormato is a very good record.

Most of the shit I've bought this year, including new releases, was thanks to the forum. Hell, the reason I'm into Fall Out Boy is because someone in the "Fall Out Boy sucks" thread recommended their debut (ah, irony). This was something I wanted to pick up because I was curious. Was it worth it? I'll find out after a few more listens. I figured that, at least, if I didn't like it, it would look better having one more '09 album for my year-end list. laugh.gif
