Hatchetaxe&saw
Good trawl through some music stores yesterday; Interpol - Our Love to Admire The Klaxons - Myths of The Near Future Metallica - Master of Puppets (I refused to buy this for years, until it came down in price, it was always 24.99, got it for 10.99, woo-hoo!) And bargain of the week, came up to the till with the re-mastered Back In Black and If You Want Blood, You've Got It and guy says he can sell me a copy of Bonfire, the 5cd box set, for 19.99, down from 78.99 instead. Needless to say I agreed to this and offered to have his children, once it's medically and physiologically possible.

Because the CD mix sounds ridiculously dated. It's almost unlistenable.
Kudzu
Genesis 1976-1982 box set, NTSC format. It sounds absolutely great to my ears, much better than the '94 series.

Then again I'm no audiophile so wouldn't really know You don't have to be an audiophile to hear one note of "Pretty Hate Machine" and immediately think, "late '80s." The live versions of those songs on "And All That Could Have Been" (2002) are like night and day compared to the originals. Get that, btw, if you don't have it. Best live CD/DVD ever, IMO...Rush included.
