Spent a great week in the Yorkshire Dales with the family, I also managed a musical expidition or two.

Came across a HMV with a decent enough range:

Nick Lowe - Jesus Of Cool

John Mayall's Bluesbreakers - Bare Wires

Candidate - Oxengate

British Sea Power - Do You Like Rock Music?

In York city itself I found a little shop with a superb vinyl collection.

Wishbone Ash - Live Dates

Deep Purple - Made In Japan

Bruford - One Of A Kind

All 3 are in mint condition, Live Dates looks like it was never played!

This shop also had a very keenly priced CD section

Earthworks - Footloose & Fancy Free

Stuart Staples - Leaving Songs

Obviously, I left York one happy camper.

Gorillaz-Laika Come Home (vinyl)

Really not all that familiar with Gorillaz, but I must say, that is about the best album name I've ever heard.

The album sucks though sad.gif

Today I bought Tusk by Fleetwood Mac on vinyl

How's that one? I have Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, and The Dance, but I've always been leery of their post-Rumours studio work.

I think it's great, it's generally considered one of their best. It's mostly a 'pop' record, but in a very different sense that Rumours was, took me a while to get into it. I haven't heard anything post-Tusk that I actually like.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Henry's Dream & Kicking Against The Pricks

I've been looking forward to this for a few months now and I'm not disappointed, a definite return to form, albeit with a new lead guitarist Luther Dickinson.

As usual a great mixture of styles...rock, blues, slide guitar, acoustic, very Skynyrdesque in places.
