Mandalorian Hunter
I've just purchased a load of Mars Volta B-Sides, which seem to be pretty good. 'Frances The Mute' has just been enhanced by the track of the same name, and Things Behind The Sun is incredible if only for Cedric's vocals. I have a funny feeling though that they have more B-Sides and rare tracks.
Mandalorian Hunter
Porcupine Tree - We Lost The Skyline If PT permanently stripped down to an acoustic, they would be just as good as the electric band. I know there aren't Bass, Drums and Keyboards here, but it pretty much proves it with the arrangements
Kudzu
Picked up U2's sophomore effort October today. Goddamn, it'll be nice when they remaster it, because the audio quality is really not so great.
Hatchetaxe&saw
Spent a great week in the Yorkshire Dales with the family, I also managed a musical expidition or two. Came across a HMV with a decent enough range: Nick Lowe - Jesus Of Cool John Mayall's Bluesbreakers - Bare Wires Candidate - Oxengate British Sea Power - Do You Like Rock Music? In York city itself I found a little shop with a superb vinyl collection. Wishbone Ash - Live Dates Deep Purple - Made In Japan Bruford - One Of A Kind All 3 are in mint condition, Live Dates looks like it was never played! This shop also had a very keenly priced CD section Earthworks - Footloose & Fancy Free Stuart Staples - Leaving Songs Obviously, I left York one happy camper. I think it's great, it's generally considered one of their best. It's mostly a 'pop' record, but in a very different sense that Rumours was, took me a while to get into it. I haven't heard anything post-Tusk that I actually like.

Huck
Just bought The Black Crowes first studio album for 7 years which was released today http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61GFhHouITL._AA240_.jpg I've been looking forward to this for a few months now and I'm not disappointed, a definite return to form, albeit with a new lead guitarist Luther Dickinson. As usual a great mixture of styles...rock, blues, slide guitar, acoustic, very Skynyrdesque in places.
