If you turn the volume up all the way on any song for about 3 minutes, and then turn down the volume, you can hear a mysterious ringing noise... Almost like a high whistle...

Ow, my ear balls!

What are 'ear balls'?

Well, drums are the balls of rock and roll, so... you know.

That's funny, I thought I was the only one that said that! I've stopped saying 'ear balls' too much, though, as it gets me funny looks sometimes, but occasionally a bit of laughter, and not always of the perplexed, hesitant kind!

i remember being in the front row of a motorhead gig a few years ago and upon leaving i noticed the same ringing in my ears.... i never believed it could be subliminal messaging but on learning of your experience i may do some research now, the truth has gotta be out there.

thanks

That's because all Rush albums since the debut are "...sold by weight, not volume..."

The noise may be the individual notes settling back into place after the volume is reduced.
