Shredder2 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I'm glad to see how no-one wrote a negative review on CA. Maybe they're too scared to face a bunch of satisfied Rushians like us, waiting to kill the hater(s). Yes. We're looking at you, Usher.
Rushman14 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 everyone on itunes is giving it 5 stars except one tool gave it a single star and said "they should stop". Probably Gemini Rising.

CrossedSignals Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ Jun 12 2012, 08:50 AM) Well...I haven't yet opened the vinyl, but the covers look fantastic! The main one is the back cover...looks awesome! Better than the CD IMO! http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t100/EmotionDetector/IMG_0041.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t100/EmotionDetector/IMG_0042.jpg Ooooooo I love vinyl! Cool stuff. I think the vinyl cover looks better than the CD cover.... those red whirlpools are neato. I still don't like the clock face though.... it looks cheap and haphazard. The back cover looks awesome though!
CaressOfKrieger Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I'm going to go pick it up when my local record store opens in 45 minutes. Trying to decide if I want to go with the CD or the vinyl.

Anyways...for those who ordered the vinyl, you should be happy. It looks stellar.

Godeater2112 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 QUOTE (Cygnus The God Of Balance @ Jun 12 2012, 12:59 PM) I don't really know how to express how absolutely beautiful The Garden is to me. It is like nothing Rush has ever done. Lyrically, Neil is at perhaps his most poignant ever, ("The measure of a life is a measure of love and respect/So hard to earn, so easily burned" might be the greatest lyric ever written by Pratt) and Ged's voice is just so lilting it adds a whole unique feel to this song. And I think Al's solo is just simply amazing and adds just the right touch. Great comments all around, but this bit I could not possibly agree more with you.

Well...I can't figure out if he means that the VINYL version sounds bad, or if the entire CA album in general sounds bad. That might clear up alot!

marblesmike Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) I'm not a troll. I love the album. It's amazing. I'm saying the pressing quality of the vinyl sucks. Not the mastering/mixing, but the actually pressing from the pressing plant. How is that trolling? Read the post that I quoted (about the vinyl copy looking great) and me responding "except it sounds like crap," it being the vinyl. Some of you people really drink the kool-aid. Nope...no kool-aid here. As per my previous post, I gathered that you were most likely referring to the sound of the vinyl! Ironically, I don't have a record player, so my vinyl will be sitting on the shelf for awhile...beside the Feedback and S&A vinyls!

Ironically, I don't have a record player, so my vinyl will be sitting on the shelf for awhile...beside the Feedback and S&A vinyls! It's a shame too about the vinyl. It came fresh with tons of grime and fingerprints from the pressing plant. I love the album and was hoping the vinyl would sound better than the mediocre sounding cd. I hope my copy was just a dud. I'm anxious to hear what other people say about it so I can determine whether or not it's worth returning for a better copy.
