  1. In case anyone here doesn't know, The Ozrics' home in Colorado fell victim to the wildfires this summer. They lost most of everything, including equipment and master tapes. Google search for the Ozrics forum for more info about helping them get through this rough time.
  2. On the VT tour they swapped a couple songs in and out every other night. I am thinking Ceiling Unlimited and The Trees were two of the songs, and I think there were more.
  3. I think Cut to the Chase might make it this time around. Isn't it usually one of the more requested songs each tour?
  4. QUOTE (Khan @ Jul 13 2012, 09:22 AM) That's an awful expensive Frisbee... That's why I am selling it :-)
  5. With 2 days left, mine is at $200. Not a bad $20 investment.
  6. QUOTE (D3strukt @ Jul 11 2012, 07:13 PM) God damn it. No Buy It Now option. It did have one, but as soon as someone bid on it it went away. I had it priced at $125. But now I'm kinda glad no one took it at that price. I think it might go for close to $200. No bad considering I bought it for $20.
  7. Shameless plugging--I'm selling my copy of Vapor Trails on vinyl lp, so please take a look! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rush-Vapor-Trails-...=item2a1ff2894d
  8. QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ Jun 20 2012, 10:52 AM) QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ Jun 20 2012, 10:43 AM) QUOTE (losingit2k @ Jun 20 2012, 10:41 AM) I feel they should only use strings for songs that have strings already on them. Leave the other songs in tact. If they do this, then I'd be 100% behind it. Completely with you on this. Agreed. My biggest concern is that once they start preparing to work with the string section they'll over-do it and start using it on more and more tracks.
  9. I don't know why we need 3 threads for this or need to email Roadrunner. I told everyone multiple times that it was the same as listening to the cd.
  10. QUOTE (Cygnus The God Of Balance @ Jun 19 2012, 09:05 PM) I would like to hear Xanadu with an orchestra. I think that would be cool. I will be into hearing them with strings. NOOOO that's my nightmare scenario. Blasphemy!
  11. QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ Jun 19 2012, 01:25 PM) I'm just now listening to my vinyl copy. It sounds considerably better! One slight annoyance.....I don't know where Roadrunner gets their vinyl pressed, but man, this thing came full of fingerprints and shit (not literal shit, but you know what I mean). I didn't notice until it skipped on the title track and I looked closer. Sounds good otherwise though. So did my copy.
  12. QUOTE (Lost In Xanadu @ Jun 19 2012, 11:28 AM) Close your eyes, free your mind Imagine if you will.... TSOR, Limelight, Tom Sawyer with an orchestra... did anyone else just puke a little? I can take the CA songs, Losing It, Manhattan Project, and even Jacob's Ladder... but it better not be the whole damn show. Exactly. It's not like 95% of their catalog screams orchestral music. They're mostly a hard rock band. In regards to paying them the whole tour, no wonder the ticket prices are so expensive!
  13. QUOTE (Lost In Xanadu @ Jun 19 2012, 10:00 AM) QUOTE (Mara @ Jun 19 2012, 08:59 AM) Oh great. So that means they'll probably be playing "The Garden", and I will be crying my eyes out in front of everyone. But I'll handle it. I think it will turn a lot of Rush fans off, but I am not too worried. My buddy, my brother and I are three of them. I'm gonna wait to see the setlist and how the orchestra is used. If it's for the relevent CwA stuff and a few oldies, then that's fine. But if it is for the entire show then I'm not spending $150 to see that. Just not my cup of tea and the whole thing screams dinosaur to me. I'm sure plenty people here will enjoy it and it will be interesting for sure, but that's a lot of money to spend on something that I'm not overly keen on.
  14. Let's also keep in mind all the stuff Alex said before the Time Machine tour that led to everyone getting butthurt over the actual setlist.
