Very interesting work!   I don't think $100K would be out of line for art work for an album, especially if its not just a cover, but custom work for all the songs...   The price of art is a funny thing. But recognized good art is very, very expensive. And art is not "replaceable" like a Porsche, a house, or even a diamond, which often makes it even more valuable.

Well RUSH will probably get less than 100k from album sale profits, what with paying the producer, the engineers, the studio, the mastering company, Roadrunner etc. No wonder they only make an album every 5 years...

Look one page back, there's a black & white version that got mocked up into a fake CA cover, complete with track list. It lost a lot of the fine detail when it got converted to B/W, and the "back" is mostly blurred out, but you can get the feel of it.

Rush.com has not updated anything on the website, despite the fact they have a new album coming out in . . . well, sometime soon, I think. And, a single may or may not hit radio sometime in the next couple weeks. Their last album came out 5 years ago, so I guess I'm crazy for thinking there'd be some sort of official non-secret promotion by Anthem or Roadrunner. But, whatever.

 

Anyway, how about Snaked or somebody leaking out another image?

Why would they care if crazy rumors were starting to fly around? People are talking about Rush en masse for the first time since the last album. You need only look at the activity around here to see that. If it weren't for the rumors, the activity level at TRF would be the same as it was two months ago. Roadrunner is counting on getting people excited, and whether we agree with it or not (due to our own impatience), it's working.
