The Cat 3
I'd be very interested in this one...could be inspired, then again, it could be simply dreadful. Julian's "Valotte" still makes a regular appearance in my musical rotation. Dhani's appearance at "The Concert for George" sent chills down my spine. Zak is pretty amazing, that's a fact. (Peter Criss gave him a tip or two as a child as well). Makes you wonder if they'd all get high with Jakob Dylan? drbirdsong
QUOTE (Ovningskora @ Apr 4 2012, 04:14 PM) It actually would be really cool if this happened I don't want to be mean, but the sons of the Beatles are not going to be The Men That Invented Modern Rock. There was Louis Armstrong. Who was he? He invented modern time. There were The Beatles. They took everything that had come before them and with their limited capabilities they created a new modern sound. There was Nirvana. They took the new sound that had become stale and they grunged it up a bit. In-between came several dance movements. Still waiting for the next wave. Louis Armstrong, the Beatles and Nirvana? Those are the three turning points in modern music history?

Nirvana helped usher in a new scene but is nowhere as influential as others.

drbirdsong
I don't see Nirvana as any great movement forward in modern music, but they did slay the hair metal dragon. That can only be a good thing.
