Yep...those were the days, huh!?!!?!

Me and my friend's used to play semi-tackle football

in the street, without pads or helmets...we didn't care.

We dug it... gettin' banged up and bruised on the pavement.

There were some good times back then, for sure. cool10.gif 1022.gif

...But I do recall gas prices thru the f'n roof,

and unemployment up the ying-yang!!

Times change..but yet somehow remain the same.

Wow. I went through two of those. Do you have any cassettes?

Miss your Lauren Ambrose avatar, btw.

I actually DO have cassettes buried away somewhere and YES it still works!

Aww... you don't like the cheeky Joan Jett? I'm sure Lauren will make another appearance one day wink.gif

Can you imagine what would happen if a kid in today's world took this to school? tongue.gif

Was at Disney last week and we saw that they had Walt Disney's desk from 2nd grade on display. It had his initials carved in top of desk. It was hard to explain to my kids how it was once ok to show up at school with a knife. They were surprised to find out that I used to carry a pocket knife as a kid as well.....

laugh.gif I can recall the BLACKOUT of summer 1977 in NYC Brooklyn. A Mo ped/Mini bike shop got broken in to and looted and everyone it seemed had one of those days after the looting.

I can't believe I stumbled onto this picture online!

I was searching for a picture of this bike, a CCM Mustang Marauder 3-speed from about 1970. my brother bought this identicle bike from a pawn shop in about 1975. I was about 5 years old and have one feint memory of it.

also when I was 5 seeing these cool cars in our neighborhood which were being built down the street from our house. we lived in Saint John, New Brunswick and the car was the Bricklin which was made only 2 years. I'd love to own one of these today!

as for the bike, I just finished collecting all the pieces I need to restore a yellow 3-speed Marauder I picked up a couple years ago! smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

I LOVE the 70's!!
