Where would eddie have been without sammy.. dave was gone ..look at daves shitty solo career compared to sammys career after eddie kicked him out in 96. dave could never compete with this cool down to earth guy.. and he stood my mikey. not like the van halen brothers.... Sammy is a first class guy and that shows something how he looked out for mikey.. Who is the nicest guy in rock. Mikey was so cool , even after he got shafted, he still never trashed talked his former band mates.. face facts people. roth was done after 1984.. but , the first 6 albums with roth and tours were legend.. but they had to carry on.... they were too young to quit..cause of some ego maniac .. There's a decade of material (good or bad, whatever you think of it) that will never be played live again by VH because Roth can't and won't sing the Sammy stuff. Sammy always did a respectable job of singing the DLR stuff. And, looking at the concert from Louisville, Roth looks like he should be in a cabaret show, not a headlining rock act. He'd be better off ditching the headset and carrying the mic stand around ala Steven Tyler. I find his stiff stage presence uncomfortable to watch. As for Eddie looking like he's put on a few... VH has the late 1970s and early 80s - THATS why people are going. Thats why they went with Gary f-ing Cherone too. Chickenfoot will never be that big.
