Damn good movie.

"Let's get down to tacks of brass".How can anyone not like Santa in this? Bunny was good stuff too. These characters can easily be put into a sequel.

And Sandman could throw down. :haz:

Ice Castles - skating film made in the eighties. Just awful.

I'd puke, but we don't have a button for that here anymore, so I'll cry instead because it was that painful to watch and I know this was 90 minutes of my life that I wil never get back. fists%20crying.gif

On the positive side, I rolled $172 dollars worth of change during that disaster...

The Hobbit

Is Christopher Lee good in that?

I'd say yes, because he's Christopher Lee. He plays Saruman-a##hole with great subtlety. But I was looking at Kate Blanchet the whole time!

:codger: <<< Lee

I think we will see more of him in the next two movies. After all he should be the one who leads the attack to Dol Guldur IIRC. It's been many years since I've read the Appendixes, but at the time of the Hobbit Saruman was still a certified good guy. Lee plays him as this majestic, can't-touch-him uber-magician, which underlines the great contrast between him and road-worn Gandalf and freak-hippie Radagast.

I'm not a fan of LOTRs, I just watched the Rings series, I liked the look of the film, the locations, the sets, the effects etc and most of the actors were good, but I find the story weak, too long and dull, plus I dislike all the good guys who beat the bad guys too easily.

I may watch the Hobbit series just to see Lee though. It's crazy that they cut Lee's scenes from the theatrical version of Return of the King.

Just saw Les Mis with some friends. I was not prepared at all for how good it was!!! Aside from Jackman, most of those people are not vocalists! Really impressive.

One of the previews was Gatsby. Looks like they might just have nailed it! Can't wait to see it!
