I hate these lists. They never include real metal guitarists, except devin being the closest thing to it. There are some really great Canadian metal bands with amazing players, including Kataklysm, Into Eternity, and, my friends, Kittie.

Aw whoops! I didn't mean Joni Mitchell, I meant Kim.

Why wasn't Kim on that list?

I would put Randy Bachman way higher on that list and while I really enjoy Neil Young, I don't think he deserves to be in that top ten at all. Hell, if Neil Young is there, how about Fred Penner? Seriously.

Bruce Cockburn for sure should be top five. Kim Mitchell too. Where's Jerry Doucette? Too Loud McLeod? Pat Travers? (yep, he's Canadian), Ian Critchten? Lenny Breau? Myles Goodwin?

Lists like this are always rubbish, but it IS nice to see Alex get top awards. I can't dispute that. His body of work speaks for itself (not to mention trying to find a place in Rush during the synth phase).

Cockburn is simply amazing, I'd put him right up there with Alex.
