1 of the 7 Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 QUOTE (-Ender- @ May 24 2011, 06:38 PM) What the hell are you gonna do when Geddy DIES? Well, by then, and to take my mind off my sadness, I'll get a second job and start trying to financially recover from going to all the Rush gigs I'll have hopefully been to over the years This is pretty much my plan after they retire, actually...
Angua Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 This time last week I was on my way to my 2nd Rush show of the weekend.

the masked drummer Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 QUOTE (LyndseyG @ May 23 2011, 05:55 AM) I waited 5 months for last night to happen. Now it's over. Just like Christmas: all that waiting and excitement and now gone! I'm tired and have a headache and I need a hug!! Does everyone feel this way after a rush concert? How do you get through it? After about the 30th show that feeling kinda went away for me.

1 of the 7 Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Well, early this week, I found out my now-second favorite band the Fixx is playing at a casino in Pennsylvania in August, so I have that show to look forward to and help get me through the upcoming Rush drought. It's actually been two years since I've seen them (took last year off). We'll probably catch a few shows at the State Fair too.

There's no guarantee that I'll be able to see them live next year, though I would really like to. Alas, I know that I should be grateful that I saw them in the first place. Plus the live concert DVD will be released in a few months; we Rushians can relive the concert experience(s) that we had on this tour. We'll survive the drought.

CMWriter Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 I saw Cheap Trick for the first time yesterday. They were so amazing. All four of them. Just blew my mind. Now I'm sad because it's going to be a whole year before the next concert at Memorial Park. ;~; And I want more, MORE!! Both them and 38 Special were incredible! I still can't believe I actually got to see them! ..But they're going to be back in Nebraska for the State Fair. (It won't be a free concert, though. =/ )
umoveme Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 I thought I'd feel sad after Sunday, but I actually reorganized my Rush playlists and I've been listening to tons more live stuff!!

I actually found that joining here after seeing RUSH helped me keep connected to the music and all. YAY INTERNET. :3
Cygnalschick Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 QUOTE (-Ender- @ May 24 2011, 05:38 PM) You all get depressed AFTER seeing a Rush show? Really? What the hell are you gonna do when Geddy DIES? http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff508/blackcc/cmonson.jpg Don't say such morbid things We all know it'll happen one day but let's not focus on that. I'm trying to enjoy what Rush still has to offer us until they truly decide to hang it up I think we ALL know it can't last forever, but the impression they've left on me personally, as well as how much they've enriched my life, is something that will be with me to the end "Celebrate the moment, as it turns into one more"
Maverick Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 I was trying to point out that getting depressed after seeing a show was a little bit silly. And I wasn't trying to horrify everyone. You seem to have a sane perspective. "Be glad they are touring, be glad they will be back. Enjoy that you saw them. Don't get sad because the thing you were so looking forward to happening actually happened. Be happy that it did, and that you were there to enjoy and be part of it." That's all I'm saying. And I am sayin'!
NobodysHeroine Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 The Time Machine Tour officially ended last night, at The Gorge in Washington. Awwww... But I do know that it is a well-deserved break for the Rush guys. They've been touring since March; they must be tired and ready to return home. I would be. Yet I do look forward to the epicness of next year: a new album and new tour! Plus this tour had my first ever Rush show, which I get to relive when the concert DVD is released.

weezy2112 Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 First I for awhile, then drown my sorrows in then maybe some then probably more then, most likely after I then pass out .... awaken with the feeling like someone is and breath that smells like and promise to never, ever drink again, and try to get a life.

HowItIs Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 I had post-tour depression pretty bad last Saturday. Had the whole "a week ago... " game playing in my head. Looking at the pictures I took at the 2 shows I saw helps a little. So do the videos of those shows (Vancouver/the Gorge). The DVD might help more but we have 2 months to wait for it.
Khan Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 It doesn't take long does it? That "PGD" sets in with me about 5 minutes after it's over!
