Mystic Slipperman
I'm still working on my list. My dad passed away last Friday morning, so life's been pretty upside down since then. Will eventually get back on it when I have the heart for it.

Mystic Slipperman
*deep breath* OK. As promised, I'm going to post my version of this "Top 500 Songs" thingy. I can't promise that there won't be changes and updates. Thankfully I had most of this done before my dad passed away, so there wasn't much to do. I'm going to follow the same format as Goober, as trying to honestly rank 1-500 is just frickin' impossible.

Good, bad, andrush
Really nice list, a little more accessible than Goobs nice to see Bravado there, as it should be but I did not see any camel or caravan or ESPECIALLY VDGG? Why? do you know about them? And not a Tool fan either, I guess. In 30 years I will make my own list Edited May 18, 2011 by Good, bad, andrush
Mystic Slipperman
Thanks... I already made some changes! AAAAGH! Knowing that Goobs is into more prog and psych than I am, and I'm more into classic jazz and soul than he is.... I had a feeling that these two lists would be an interesting contrast. I could mess with my list forever and it still wouldn't be 100% right... so... gotta stop somewhere! This also doesn't accurately reflect some of the hard rock and metal that I dig. What can I say? I've always been a sucker for ballads. Re: your comments: I'm still getting into Camel and VDGG (I LOVE Pawn Hearts)... so maybe in time they'll show up here. Caravan is also on my list of bands to investimagate. Tool... I like some of their music but so far not enough of it to make me start collecting them. But you never know! I think I'll post my current 100 pretty soon and see how that evolves over time. But yeah, it is a nice contrast, and nice choices by the Allman brothers. Good, bad, andrush
Edited: I think I went over two so I chopped off Child In Time and The Battle Of Evermore...All right, my top 100. I'm keeping this just to record the progress I make as I go up and so that you guys can laugh at me or remain indifferent to my arrogant, stupid, and inexperienced opinion. And honestly, these top 100 songs have absolutely nothing to do with how good they are or how influential...it's just my very own top 100 songs from the very top of my head at this exact moment. I may forget a few and I'm not even going to list them in order, except i'll probably but the bottom 25 together or so and then the next and so on. Tommy Sawyer
Good list Goober. Good job on including plenty of S&G. But you need more Cat Stevens. And there's no Fleetwood Mac or Eagles!? Also, good lists GB&R and Mystic Slipperman. Maybe I'll make my own one day...
