i think this thread is proof enough that we need a food subforum. 1287.gif

Food? Hell, maybe we just need a BACON FORUM laugh.gif

Are we in favor of a bacon forum?

I started making my own pizza.........MMM mmm mmm.....as good as any I've ever had.

Same with salsa, easy and delicious. I'll never buy a jar of salsa again.

WHAT?!!

I don't think you would say no to a jar of Mrs. Renfro's Habanero Salsa... eventhough your colon would prolly thank you. tongue.gif

Those are some good jalapenos made too! Although, not quite as hot as I like.

Oh ya... he got a jar of Mrs. Renfro's Habanero salsa this summer and we had to ration it out... then he went to work and I finished it. doh.gif I had the most horrible stomach pains... then we realized it was because I ate all the salsa. laugh.gif So now... I gotta have a lil more self control when it comes to that stuff.

tofu bacon is just silly and anyone that even dares to say, "try it. it's not bad" should be shot too

I tried chocolate covered bacon at The Big E last month and holy CRAP it was amazing. You, sir, do not know what you just turned down. Sure you may have preserved a couple of months of your life in the long run, but come on....BACON.

i made one great pizza in my life but everytime after that it was a miss with making the dough. i can't get the dough just right.

Some pizzerias will sell dough. Or you could go to a place like Trader Joe's. I love their pizza dough.

By the way I know I've said this before, but this thread would go nicely in a FOOD SUBFORUM wink.gif

i would be a regular in the FOOD SUBFORUM. new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Not that it's a bad idea, but I really don't think we'd have enough food content to justify dedicating an entire forum to it.

Though we'd have our choice of some good forum names...

Carve Away The Bone

Test For Eggo

Red Bruschetta

The Larger Mixing Bowl

Fry By Night

This is brought up time and time again but whenever we have any sort of food thread, it falls flat pretty fast. sad.gif

Well yeah because in a Random Samples forum, food threads will get pushed to Page 2 like *snap* that! yes.gif

Never liked them. Hot pockets suck.

The only frozen food items I buy are vegetables. Why put your taste buds and precious innards through the horror of frozen "entrees?"

They did another story on that on the news the other day.

They presented it to a cardiologist and he about had a heart attack just looking at that thing.

Oh no no no. You should see the one this Washington chef cooked up.

Massive slab of beef piled high with FRIED bacon (battered and fried), fried onion rings and sandwhiched between fried cheese sandwiches.

was that the same one that i saw on man vs. food? it was a double bypass burger where they use two grilled cheese sandwiches as the buns with fried eggs, a ton of bacon and a few thick patties in between. wacko.gif

Adding to this thread are my thoughts in no particular order biggrin.gif

Food subforum would be fun!

Hot pockets -- or frozen meals in general are awful. I ate Lean Cuisines for the longest time and suddenly realized that eating ingredients that sounded like a science experiment was probably a really bad idea.

Chocolate covered bacon is like chocolate covered pretzels in that the sweet and salty balance each other out. LOVE

For healthier homemade pizza: buy Naan, which I belive is a thin Indian bread/pita. My local grocery store carries it. The calories are way lower and it's not made of junk like frozen pizzas. Cover with sauce, cheese, garlic, whatever you want, bake in oven for 10-15 mins.

Need to condition that stomach. We had a party at work one day and I wound up eating most of a jar of habaneros for lunch. "Iron stomach" as they call me. wink.gif
