PhilCastro
I've been getting into these guys lately, so I thought that i would start buying some of their Albums... i was wondering what are some good choices to start off with?
theworkingman
77 to start with
pt2112
Either Speaking in Tongues or Remain in Light. But Talking Heads are one of those bands that are better live, so Stop Making Sense would also be really good to start with as well. Edit to clarify that I absolutely HATE using live albums as an introductory to a band, so that's really saying something about this live album. ReRushed
Their masterpiece is Remain in Light, but why don't you go chronologically and start with '77? If you do, you're in for quite a ride!

circumstantial tree
I know that Talking Heads were referenced on R30 by Neil as being an innovative band for new wave music. The members of the band were all students at Rhode Island School of Design. So they certainly had the creative spirit in them.

Rush!
Start with the debut '77 & move chronologically from there. Each studio album of theirs gets increasingly complex starting with the second one, More Songs About Buildings and Food. So I'd start with the debut.
