Please don't suck! Please don't suck!

OK, thanks for letting me get that out of my system. Ain't It Cool News has the teaser. Hit it here. Afterwards come back and post opinions, analysis, musings, thoughts, impressions, etc.! Just don't post about how 'The Village' and 'Lady In The Water' were good because we all know they were crap! laugh.gif

Edited 'cause I misspelled Night in this thread, too! laugh.gif doh.gif

The Village and Lady in the Water WERE good.

This looks good too.

Especially Lady In The Water. I love that movie.

This new one looks good, too. I can't wait for him to work on The Avatar!

I always try to give his films a try, but I am usually dissapointed. Don't get me wrong Shamalan's a great director, but his screenwriting skills are not very good IMO.

The trailers for his movies always seem better than the actual movies.

The Village was ok but Lady In The Water was truly awful.

I liked The Village a bunch too. But I hated Lady in the Water...some of the characters seemed a bit 'much' (the guy with the 1 massive arm for example) and the story itself seemed a bit 'forced'. Also, loved 6th sense and liked Unbreakable. Only saw the last 30 minutes of Signs which I didn't like.

Like Jack I'm hoping this one doesn't suck.

Shyamalan's a great director. He can make very suspenseful films, and knows how to get what he wants to see on camera, and with very good results.

His abilities as a screenwriter is a diffrent issue.........

Sorry, but Jack is right. After a few of his movies, I found myself trying to figure out the twist. I had 'The Village' figured out about a third the way through the movie. The Lady in the Water was just not that good and there was no 'twist'.

I like his other stuff though.

The clip was gone when I tried to see it... fists crying.gif

It looks like the trailer was taken down for legal reasons, must have been an early leak. I searched everywhere and it's definitely gone, I'll post the link as soon as it's available again.
